Hey guys, sorry been gone for a while, construction at the house so been crazy busy.... got my formal letter from NVC... "The NVC has recently recieved an approved I-129F petition filed on behalf of your fiance. This letter is to let you know that within a week the petition will be forewarded to the appropriate visa-issuing post where your visa interview will take place"... bla bla bla....

Guys, is it safe to assume that this is a good thing?.... I was reading some horror stories in another forum... someone had typed that they were calling NVC for the past 5 weeks, and kept being told they were in "administrative processing"....This doesnt seem like a pre-printed letter, so do you think they will ACTUALLY send it within a week, or is there still a chance that I could be stuck in administrative processing?... Was there anyone you guys know that got stuck in processing for an extended period of time? Thanks for taking the time to read and answer. Hope you guys are having a good week.

Congrats to everyone who has been approved this week...I havn't read the last 20 pages i missed this whole week..been so bz...

Harsh: I recieved a letter from NVC 3 times!!!! with the same message!!! First these people take forever to take your case..then once they do..they send multiple copies of the same information. Anyway, I checked my USCIS site..and they have not changed it as of yet..it still states "case received and pending" since Aug 19 2008. They must be having some sort of difficulty updating everyones information. What I don't understand is why are they being selective or at least it seems so, unless i'm forgotten. So yes the letter from NVC said the same thing..it will be forward to the London embassy within a week and the visa interview should take place there at london embassy of the U.S. Oh yea..I just received my hard copy NOA2 from the lawyer a week after I got the copy from the immigration. He didn't even call to inform me  Shows how much they care of what we are all going through.

So my question is..how do I know that the UK embassy has received information from NVC?????? Do I just know by the packet 3 that my fiance will be receiving??

You call the department of state to find out when your case has reached the Embassy. Their # is 202-663-1225. Press 1, then zero to speak to a visa specialist. They're very nice! I'm just wrapping things up in London so definitely get in touch if you have any other questions! :)

OMG Habibi! I really hope that is your NOA2, I am sure it is, wait for an email later tonight or even tomorrow:)

As for me, no news, no touches, nothing. You all will be the first ones (after my fiance of course :) ) to know about my NOA2 as soon as I get it! I really hope to hear something by next week, don't want to drag my sorry butt over to the 6 months+ waiting club and introduce myself there, I feel so terrible for those pple waiting in there. BUT, interestingly, the 2 approvals from CSC this week, one of them (and another one last week) were approvals for pple waiting from July. Really don't want to join the 6 months+ club... :crying:

Still trying to keep strong and praying for my NOA2...this week would be fabulous, but next week is the final straw!

Marm, we wait together girl, i'm getting really tired of this waiting, i just want to be with my babe, he's sick and i cant take care of him :crying: i dont want to live without him....i still keep my hopes up for something these days...at least a touch

WOW, Congratulations, a record holder. Quite the honor. :innocent::dance:

I guess I am not far behind, but instead of being stuck at NVC, I am stuck at embassy. NVC date was 12/30, embassy letter was dated 1/7, so it has been in AP since then. I just donated another $23 or so to the embassy's question service so they could tell me "Your case is currently under review at this office. We regret we are unable to advise you with any degree of accuracy how much longer the reviewing process will take. We will contact you as soon as the necessary review is completed.

Please wait to hear from us. "

After receiving those kind words from them, I feel so much better! I am glad my money was so well spent!:devil:

Its ok Fred :) Sorry I snapped, We paid the deposit on the reception venue, but it was only $1000 and nothing more is due until mid April, so we have time to cancel if things go futher down hill.
