Hi everyone, I too am an August filer, stuck in security checks, stepping ever closer to complete breakdown with each passing day!!! I'm so happy for everyone who's got their NOA2s but it's also a kick in the teeth to see peopple who filed after us getting ready for interviews. I feel like I'm just sitting wishing my life away because all I care about is getting this visa and there is no way to plan anything until we get some news but it never comes!!!! My fiance and I are currently looking at booking flights so we can meet up for a week in Mexico, it's so expensive and it means spending the money we'd put aside for the wedding but we're just fighting for our sanity at this point!!

I never quite get what security checks they could be doing that would delay everything so much....Before you met your fiancee where you IRA or something?

LOL, no I was never in any terrorist association!! Makes you paranoid though, beginning to feel like a criminal, have to keep reminding myself that I've done nothing wrong.

Dun feel bad about that, my lawyer asked me AGAIN upon document preparation if I ever been arrested, hahahaha, this after NOA2 and NVC clearing, hehehehehehe.

I hate how paranoid this whole process makes you. what I hate more (actually, I'm probably just extremely envious) are the people who just glide through without preparing and are clueless, and get approved no problem.

how does that happen?

my friends and family keep telling me I'm over prepared and freaking out about ridiculous stuff. I can't tell anymore! this is not real world! this is immigration world and it sucks!

Gemmie - Being the DC resident is the issue. The number plates on their car say "Taxation without Represtentation" for a reason. the District of Columbia (DC) isn't a state of the USA, it is a territory, therefore they have no sentor that sits for them, they have no congressman that represents them, he could very easily march the 4 blocks to the capitol hill, and see dozens of them but now of them is going to give a rat's #### about our sitution nor help it because of his residencey.

It sucks

And yes Im fast learning that every country has more rights then what American Citzen have, even the Chinese have more say and they live in a dictatorship....

Oh well, I can only hope and pray that tomorrow is a good day and all this ###### will be over soon.

A case was sent to Zagreb a couple hours ago.

I called NVC.

The case wasn't ours. We're still being AP'd.

Can't really say that was news.

I am 172 days and soon hitting 6 months. I am right in the middle of estimated timeline data. I do not know what to do anymore.

Actually, the requirement for K1/2 is 100%, 125% is k3/4. Even though an embassy may say they want 125%, it is not a requirement. If you are worried about it, pull the laws and manuals - they cant enforce that. according to other things I read, it is difficult for them to reject a visa, so they must follow the guide and not risk getting it overturned. So if they are just saying they want 125%, I wouldnt worry. If you need any documents to prove what I am saying let me know, I can dig them up.

I have heard China is difficult, but you are still interviewing in the US (US Embassy is American Soil - even if it is in China). So, they have to follow the same rules.

Hopefully tomorrow is ours too Anisa, but then Chris is visiting their office so we have a little bit of an advantage there!
