Congratulations Gumbo & Harsh!

Harsh, I am disappointed in you. I told you this morning you were next, but Gumbo posted before you! What were the times? Who was first! You need to watch your email closer! haha - really, congratulations, you deserve it.

Our timeline:

9/3/08: Submitted I-129

9/5/08: CSC received

9/8/08: NOA1 date

11/12/08: Requested expedite (promised response by 11/17/08)

11/19/08: Received status info by calling USCIS - Additional info sent

12/4/08: Call from CSC & "Touch"

12/4/08 to 12/22/08: Too many calls & faxes to mention, NO RESPONSE!

12/22/08: NOA2 Approval!

12/30/08: NVC forwarded petition to Embassy in Tokyo

12/31/08: Letter from NVC stating they forwarded petition

1/4/09: Received Letter from NVC

1/7/09: Packet Issued from Tokyo Embassy

4/18/09: Tokyo still unable to grant interview, moved to Philippines.

6/22/09: Our daughter was born (more embassy paperwork)

6/30/09: Reqeusted transfer of case to Manila

8/26/09: Visited embassy in Manila AGAIN, personally requested transfer of case (no record in their system)

11/4/09: Case Transferred from Tokyo to Manila - no notice sent

12/5/09: Notification that Manila received the case.

12/30/09: Interview packet received from Manila

1/25/10: Medical check in Manila (took 4 days)

2/1/10: Interview - requested additional docs,

2/2/10: Additional docs submitted, Embassy kept passports - expect visa soon.

4/5/10: Received Visa FINALLY!

4/12/10: Entry to USA

I think gumbo was first since they got their NOA2 by snail mail, they were approved last week or earlier lol...

But still, lots of good news in this thread, congrats to the new noa2's.

It's great to see new approvals every time I log-in :)

For the rest of us waiting, I really am getting antsy for the NOA2!

I am working on preparing letters to the IL senators and respective congressman just in-case I need them. Hopefully I will not need them, but I am doing all I can just to be prepared in case!

ETA: Score board: CSC 0 VSC 4, WTH?

Question for Chuck and Grace (or anyone else with an answer): Should I write letters to the USCIS-CSC director?

Which one is more effective? Senators? Congressman? USCIS office ppl?

I truly truly hope and wish and pray that we are next!

I can't help feeling a little down when thinking about how much longer it will be...because there is no definite answer for anything...*sigh*

And I think it is also because we are so so SO ready for the interview stage. My SO and I have prepared all the paperwork except the ones that are date-sensitive, we are totally ready for that stage, I even began research for AOS-related information...

I-130 for Parents (Mom and Dad)

3.15.2014: Mailed I-130 Packet for Mom and Dad

3.21.2014: Received email notification with case # for both petitions; case forwarded to NBC for processing

3.21.2014: Check cashed

3.22.2014: Hard copy NOA1 received

4.08.2014: Both I-130 approved (notification received via email) - It only took three weeks!!!

4.11.2014: Received NOA2 approval notice in the mail.

5.01.2014: Called NVC to ask for status of paperwork. Advised they received both application on 4.28. Advised to call in 30 business days for an update.

6.02.2014: Email notification received from NVC that shows parents' NVC case number and instructions to pay AOS Fee and fill out DS 261.

6.03.2014: Paid AOS fee ($88 for both petitions)

N400:
4.26.2013: Mailed N400 Packet

5.21.2013: Biometrics

7.18.2013: Testing and Interview

9.25.2013: Oath Ceremony

I forgot to post earlier I got a mail addressed to my fiancee at my apartment, it says she is now qualified to schedule an interview... thank god, cause I sheduled it two or three weeks ago and wasn't sure if she was really allowed to...

Gemmie: I think I have to change my opinion on how hard it is to get a job after seeing some new information.

Guys my fiancee went to the US embassy today and she got packets 3 & 4 :thumbs: and the sweetest thing is she got her interview date for March 4th :dance: , i guess i will be flying home March 1st to be with her for the interview :star: , we will be coming back together....AMEN.

MAR 28 2009...Returning to the USA with wife-to-be.

MAR 29 2009...POE (IAH) Intercontinental Airport Houston (2nd day arrival )

APR 10 2009....Our Glorious Wedding (Good Friday, How cool uh?)

Congrats to everyone who have been approved today!!!!! It took me a long time to read the past couple of pages just typed today!!!

I also wanted to say.....YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA..... :dance::dance::dance: I'm dancing and dancing with joy and tears.... I've got my approval today via air mail!!! I think it is time for everyone to start complaining becoz i have been complaining for the past week and i finally got my approval. What a relief.

I also wanted to add..the mail says I was approved on Jan 21st 2009 and today is when I received the copy Jan 26th!!! This morning I had checked USCIS as always and there was NO CHANGE. Even now it says I was last touched on Aug 19 2008!!! This might just tell those of you that urs might be en route although USCIS does not say so.

VJ's timeline says I should get my approval between Jan 26th -Feb 9.

Igor's list I am 96.

VJ really did a great job this week eh...I"ll pray for the rest of you..and those of you who are still going through NVC. Thanks so much guys, without these things to read i don't think I would have lasted this long. I wish all of you the best.

Ok so I dont know what to look forward to next....I'm getting sleepy..i think I will read the rest tomorrow. I can relax now...

Aug 05 Met in London for ONE hr during my transfer flight back to United States. (Fiance on student visa-UK)

Sept 06 Went to London for 2 wks (it went soooooo fast :o()

Aug 08, 2008 Sent out I 129 F

Aug 13 I 129F received at Vermont Service Center

Aug 14 NOA1

Aug 19 touched.......waiting for my NOA2...i want to skip the touches :-(

Jan 21 NOA2 as written on notice

Jan 23 NVC received petition

Jan 26 NVC sent out petition to London Consulate

Jan 26 2009 Received NOA2 copy via air mail (letter states approval Jan 21st) YEAAHHH!!!![/color]

Feb 5 2009 letter sent out from UK embassy of US (package 3)

Feb 9 2009 fiance (petitioner) received package 3

Jun 23 2009 sent package 3

Jun 26 2009 embassy received package 3

July 23 2009 fiance received package 4 for interview dated August 7, 2009 @ 8AM

August 7, 2009 APPROVED!!!!!

Hey everyone. I just wanted to let you know that I got my NOA2 today in the mail, but the online status still shows as pending. It is dated on the 21st, my NOA1 was from August 18th at the Vermont Center. Keep the faith!! It's strange, but my NOA2 says that it was forwarded to the listed consulate, not to NVC...
