I love USICS....

Chris took off work early yesterday to head down for a 3pm appointment at the DC office and then I never heard from him, I got this email this morning from him:

"I left the office to go downtown to see the folks at USCIS. I got there and the security folks were closing the door at 2:45. I had my little apointment number and they said they were shutting up the building "for adminsitrative reasons" . At this point I had gotten a little hot around the collar. Made some rather rude comments etc and kept pointing out that I had an appointment. More security guards showed up and they threatened to charge me with interfering with a federal employee and disturbing the peace."

He got home and had no power and no charged cell phone so I never got to hear from him till this morning, I am so incrediably pissed off at the whole process right now!!!!!!!

I am 128 on Igor List ... whatever it could mean ... and I am on my 159 day since NOA1!!!!

Thank you Fred and Maliciant for the info about the medical exam ... (funny question 14!!!! hehehehe)

Yeah, he now has an appointment on Tuesday at 10am, Im honestly hoping like hell our NOA2 just turns up before then because Im so over dealing with USCIS.

We are currently 146 on Igor's list, but at this point I have given up looking at it because its making me more depressed, especially after recieving that email and seeing an Aussie couple that applied in October have already been approved *sigh* I just feel like curling up in a corner and giving up....

I am so sorry that you two are having to deal with such #######. I hate so much when they don't explain anything to you...what the hell does it mean that they are closing for administrative reasons? It is so damn unfair! These pple basically have all our lives on hold for however long they want, and when they feel like it, they get off their a$$e$ and decide to hand out approvals...to pple that applied AFTER us! But please don't lose hope, it will happen for you two! And also for the rest of us, remember each day is one step closer. So thankful to have VJ so that we know we are not alone in our waiting and frustration...hang on!

I had seen a reference to making sure you have the right junk... but I didn't think that was actually the case, the time I saw it I took it to be a joke... I mean sure obviously if it's the wrong flavor of junk that'd be a problem but I'm pretty sure they are checking for more than just gender... I saw the phrase "open your #######" in two different threads and while I'm not entirely sure what that actually means (god let it be a langauge barrier!)... well, like I said, I don't know what that means...

That sucks about them closing up like that... I'm guessing maybe someone who has been waiting over a year sent a bomb threat... I think it goes without saying, they deal with a lot of crazies... sure most of them weren't crazy at the start of the process but it still adds up to a lot...

I have call them!! in fact mu bf calls them everyday ... nothing new.. no noa2 ... and our congresswoman and senator, told us to wait till we hit 6 months .. and then they can do something about it .........

As Marm said they got our lives on hold!!!!! thats not fair!!!!!!!!

Oh I called USCIS-CSC, spoke to an immigration officer and supervisor and they all tell me the same damn thing..."due to the holidays we had alot of pple off and on vacation, so there is a delay...blah blah blah...but it should be soon...blah blah blah"

And I even sent two faxes to CSC yesterday demanding to know why I don't have my approval yet, but October and Sept filers do...but no answer, not even a freakin TOUCH...

Before the RFE, it was like a touch every week, I have 16 damn touches to my file!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And then after they received the response to the RFE, one more touch on the 01/16/09 and I think it was because I called and asked to make sure the embassy location was changed in our file, and then...NOTHING...no touches, no sign of approval...

So we will just sit and wait, until the mean folks at CSC realize that we still aren't approved yet pple after us are being approved...I am hoping we get our NOA2 before the 6 month mark, which is in about a month for us. If not, then it is on to contacting senators (Obama is President now, so not sure who the senator is that is taking his place here in Illinois) and congressman...

But I really hope I don't have to resort to that.

I left out that some STD's ARE visible (at least some of the time), clymidia, syphilis, ghonorea (I forget which of those may be the same ones), hperies and even occassionaly HPV can be visible, though visible symptoms usually require a severe situation or just happening to be the right time...

I had wondered what happened to MarkGA... I thought I posted a comment about it once but I'm not sure... but he hasn't been back since october, seems like a huge quitter, that's only 2 months in, the august thread isn't for quitters!!!! How dare they start the thread and then quit like that!

Fred brought up the bit about MarkGA... a million things could have happened, this process does kill a few relationships now and then, in addition to the regular **** happens kind of things... you gotta be pretty serious to make it through and that's if nothing goes wrong... for those that are getting hung up and left behind... it's so much worse.
