from the tone of their voice and the way they talk to you, it is obvious that they are reading off a paper, you can't accept what they tell you, you have to call them and demand answers, keep demanding until they do something. you are long over due, its time to be in high proactive gear now!!!

The last time I called, the first thing I said was, "I need to speak to an immigration officer, because customer service can't help me, so either get me an IO or a supervisor", and the lady who answered the phone said," I AM an IO". And she was giving me bull also..."it wont be longer, blah blah blah"....so whom do I demand to speak to so I can get answers?

call and bypass the customer sevice by demanding to speak to a supervisor, when the supervisor answers the phone, THEN you start bitching and he will get tired of you then he will transfer you to level 2 guy, continue bitching then i'm pretty sure you'll get some results soon.

My fiance has only got the chance to talk with supervisors! they never get him to lever 2 guy!!!! we are going to insist! until they get us to a level 2 guys, who got some update for us!!!

Also we did wrote a letter to our congresswoman and senator ... no reply yet!

I have another quoestion that have been running in my mind, how big was your packege of I129F??? ours was FULL of evidences, all perfectly organized!, we sent so much evidence!!! so much emails, letters, pictures, tickets, phone call bills, EVERYTHING!!!! we just wanted to give them all the proof of pur relationship, as they told us to do when we call USCIS how many information or evidences do they need?

,........... I am just nervious ....... what do you guys thing? will this be delaying my case???????

Resend your response to the RFE DAILY until it is taken care of. When I got an RFE (sort of for expedite request), I actually never received it from them but by calling, I found out there was an RFE - I sent the information, then waited. I called later and then got the name of the person I was supposed to send it to. So I sent it again. Still Nothing. So I started writing letters to the person I sent it to asking the status and resending the original submission. I also sent them to the Director (which was worthless). But when the guy called me he said "I just received your response" - I had sent it weeks earlier. So maybe your response never made it to the right guy or your file. I would send it again, and again, and again, with coverletters saying you havent got a response and want to MAKE SURE THE APPROPRIATE PERSON RECEIVED YOUR RFE RESPONSE.

I think they write an RFE as soon as they see a problem and stop there. No since wasting time to complete the rest of it becuase by the time the RFE response comes, they will have forgotten your case and need to review it again anyway. That is why you can get multiple RFE's.

Oh dear...so you are saying I should send them my response to the RFE again by mail even though the status on my application says: "RFE response received and resumed processing Jan 06, 2009" ? I sent back the RFE USPS priority with delivery confirmation so I know they got it, but I don't know of course the name of my adjudicator for my case. Is there a way of finding out who the adjudicator is for my case?

No, dont mail, fax it. I dont have the number now, but I can find it. The RFE didnt say who to send it to? Just main location? I have number for fax at CSC. Sorry, I didnt look if your CSC or VSC. Even if they got it, I would keep sending faxes to them to ask the status and what is taking so long.

If you call the National Call Center and they look it up, you might be able to get someone there to tell you the name of the person that entered the RFE in the system. First time for me, they didnt tell me, 2nd time I got a name.

Then I just keep sending the fax and saying that I sent this already, but got no response. I figured at least if they were getting my faxes, they need to open my file to add it to the file and maybe someone would go ahead and process it while they had it open.

Probably too much is better than not enough, but i think it is ok to just have the right information or evidence - not everything, just key items to prove the point. But if everything is there, it should be fine, maybe just take them a little longer to find it.

Since MARM has a lawyer, why doesn't the lawyer do all this calling and following up, isn't this why we pay them the big bucks? after all is is the lawyer who made the mistake in MARM's papers.

PM me for any AP or AR relating to the NBI

I sure am crossing my fingers and toes and ears for everyone that is still waiting and for all of us still muddling through tasks.....

My "task" for the day was getting my Employer letter.....YES I know I should have gotten it a long time ago but thought it would be best to have it "fresh". :bonk: I mistakenly believed that I could print off verification from our HR site...actually you have to go through this third party clearing house of some crazy sort. (Does EVERYthing go through clearing houses these days???)

So they tell me that they can't give it to me they have to give it to the inquiring party for a fee. I let them know that I was pretttttty sure that if I tell the American Embassy that they have to call an Insurance Company (regardless of how big and currently embarrasing we are) to ask for something and pay a fee they're head will spin off into space. :huh:

So, after opening a "work request ticket" it was decided it could be handled internally.......

Moral of the story...if you've not checked into this yet...do so.

Next item: I keep forgetting to ask y'all about this...am I being paranoid in thinking that R and I are being tracked in a system as far as traveling goes? We went to N Ireland to see his family and on the way home out of the WHOLE line of people boarding the plane (after security etc) they chose the two of us ONLY to check our passports. I thought it quite odd....

Hi, why do you need a letter from your employer? Is this to go along with the Affadavit of Support document? And the letter should be from the citizen's employer, not the foreigner? What do you actually have to ask for? (just wondering who I should contact, if I need to, and what to tell them...)

Although according to the VSC, I shouldn't even be worrying about this yet since I still have "probably 5 more months" to wait. :angry:

I believe it goes with the proof of income/support:

To substantiate the information regarding income and resources the sponsor should attached two or more of the following items to the affidavit.

* notarized copies of his or her latest federal income tax return;

* a statement from his or her employer showing salary and the length and permanency of employment;

* a statement from an officer of a bank regarding his or her account, the date the account was opened and the present balance;

* any other evidence adequate to establish financial ability to carry out his or her undertaking toward the applicant for what might be an indefinite period of time.

Hello all!

Have been a lurker but just wanted to put in my info like the rest. Submitted my I129 to VSC and they received by Aug 14, and received NOA2 by Jan 20! Very relieved :) I was checking and we were 'touched' on uscis on Jan 14, and I suspected that we would be getting it soon, so it was torturous waiting until when! Will update my timeline and continue waiting for the packet to arrive!

Oh, btw my uscis did not actually update yet, the paper NOA2 was how I knew I got it. On the website, it still says pending.

Good luck to all!

Geeze I hate the requirement of a letter from an employer, my boss is so gossipy!

You actually don't need a letter from your employer. You need to prove to the government you make over (is it 125%?) the poverty level for your household size. If your W-2s and tax returns show that you do, then you need no other proof. However, if you don't make that much money, then you need to submit other documents (like stocks & bonds, bank account statements, etc)

the purpose of the letter is to let them know that you have a stable job and how long you can keep a job. they can deny you if they feel your job is not stable. and it let's them know how much you get paid exactly.
