I can't believe we needed to be saved again from page 2!!

Tomorrow isn't a federal holiday is it?

Also, is any one else still waiting to be received by NVC? Someone said they were all on one big truck, and if you miss one load you have to get on the next...seems way to simplistic for this process  helloworld, I want my case to be seatmates with yours on your truck! ;)

I'm actually not sure where we are. I got a letter from NVC stating that they had received the paperwork from California, and it would go to London within a week..dated the 8th. However, when I call NVC and use the ARU it says it cannot find my receipt number. Who knows...

sorry if this is a noob question, but what is ARU?

I should know this..I work around Call Center folks...ummm.....Automated Response Unit? Something like that.

oh!!!

yea, the reason the automated system can't find your number because k-1 are not entered in to the automated system, you have to speak to a live person...

you would call 603 334-0700 then in the options, choose 1 then 5

helloworld, we were on the same truck as you! thanks for the advice, I just called the NVC talked to a person, and whattayaknow, we've already been sent to the embassy.

now, I'm getting nervous!!

Grrrr... some A-HOLE put donuts in the conference room... my office is pretty much the only one touching that room and I have to walk by those delicious smelling donuts every time I leave my office... not that it matters that much, I can smell them from my office... what's worse is I have been craving donuts a bit lately too, even considered buying one on saturday, that says *something* when I know what day of the week I wanted to buy something... the strawberry creme cheese filled turn over type things are just wafting their smell into my office...

My fiance has her medical in about 32 hours! If there are no problems there it should be smooth sailing!

That's cause while you were galavanting aruond the philippines having a good ol' time... I was back here pushing to get things going as much as possible (it could have been a bit sooner but she is waiting on her passport to be released).

An update on the donuts, I haven't eaten any... they are slowly going away... I doubt they'll completely dissappear without my help... but they are "inauguration donuts"... so I guess it's barrack obama's fault I'm being put through this cruel and unusual donut torture today...

mm, I'm getting nervous now looking at Igor's list of the last people to be approved -- looks like they submitted in June. I'm worried I'm going to fall into that box and not get my approval till March or April :-( I really hate the lack of visibility. At least if I knew it wouldn't be till March, I could stop thinking about it. And also if I knew that, I would plan another trip to see him in the meantime. But I don't want to do that if he maybe will get approved tomorrow, you know?

Yeah, you have more paperwork, and what'd be a bigger deal to me... MORE EXPENSES!!! The expenses would be more of a slow down for me, midwest salaries don't hold up to a lot of plane ticket purchases as well as california salaries.

DONUT REPORT: Still managing to resist those donuts... and still smelling their sweet sugary goodness... when I first got here and saw them I smelled them and pretty much instantly decided which donut I'd like to eat the most, despite not actually wanting to eat any of them (cause it'd be naughty for my diet!)... that proud delicious donut still remains looking and smelling like taste bud heavenliness... but about 15 minutes until lunch where my food will pretty much consistant of things like asparagus, carrots, celery, sugar snap peas, cucumbers, tomatoes and a minneola or two... which I'll eat about 3 feet away from the donuts...
