Got a little surprise when I stepped out the door this morning... someone left the snow on :(

It's been COOOOOLD lately and I was just thinking sheesh, if it's gonna suck so much we might as well have snow... and then I realized oh yeah, I hate snow... I'm hoping things warm up before my fiancee get's here, nothing like freezing weather for a first impression (especially since it's always 80-90 or so in the philippines). All I can say is SURPRISE... this is what wind chill feels like, and it's not as much fun as it might look in the movies! (That plus missouri snow is usually #######, it's not sticky enough to make a snowman with... it's 'powder' that skiers like but of course, we have no mountains...).

ETA: I'm king!!! I demand this snow and cold weather ####### ends... sorry to those waiting on NOA2's... maybe your next king will be kinder (and enjoying warmer weather!).

i advice the King to go live in the Philippines and enjoy the warm weather with his fiancee...soon to be wife :)

I'm trying my hardest!!! That countdown won't move any faster...

Honestly I grew up in alaska... the temperatures in the philippines are likely to be a little uncomfortable for me... but that's a price I'm willing to pay!... that and missouri weather has gotten me more aclimated to hot humid weather... this seems like it's by far the coldest winter, possibly even the longest too, since I moved here about 6 years ago...

In other news the weightloss efforts are still going strong... 5 lbs to go for my goal... but here comes the weekend... the best time to be NAUGHTY! I am really curious how much weight I can lose before my flight... so I'm planning to keep my diet strict and clean, even after I hit this short term goal I still have about 20-25 lbs to get rid of... but weight loss efforts are so much easier to stick with when they are working... and right now it's fairly easy to stick to it!

Anyway, it's friday... a classically big day for approvals, so here's to hoping for a LOT of good news for august filers today. We're going to start seeing a few HOLY ####### WE'RE IN AMERICA!!! posts soon too (not sure when jazz acid will make that post but I'm guessing within 2 or 3 weeks).

Oops, just noticed after writing this post... live in the Philippines... I read that as visit before... I'm not against moving to the phils but I'd have to have my american paycheck... the phils cost of living is not proportional to their income... but it could definitely happen some day.

Ohh, I know what you mean. I've been to the US 4 times since getting engaged and every time we're at the airport ready to send me back, I ask WHY I'm doing this. :P

I've just filled out the forms for both the medical and the police certificate. (Someone on VJ sent me the Packet 3 a while ago so I've been holding onto it!)

For the police certificate, you need to fill in the application, along with a colour passport photo (signed by a professional), 2 utility bills or something that shows your address for the past 6 months, and a cheque for £35. t's valid for 6 months so you might as well do it now, get it out of the way.

I've called the doctor's office asking if I could make an appointment with a doctor or nurse to get some vaccinations and she asked if it was for a holiday. I told her it was for immigration and she got very confused and kept asking me to explain why. Then she passed the phone over to someone else, who told me that I need to come and fill out a travel form before getting the vaccinations; I told her that it's not for a "vacation", it's for actual immigration, but she didn't really understand.

So I'm going to go there next week (it's in another town) and hopefully get some injections on the day, though I'm not holding my breath!

Is having a cosponsor as good as being as sponsor? I know that the primary sponsor should be the petitioner, but if a sponsor from the same house hold is fully dedicated for sponsoring, would interview people have have a problem with this? I have graduated from University past May and spend the last 6 months with my fiancee in Tashkent. After returning i found our economy to be in shambles. I am having a difficult time finding a job. But my mother is fully dedicated sponsoring my fiancee. She makes well over the require minimum. I hope this is not a huge problem. Please tell me your opinion. Thank you in advance.

Wait cause evrything has to be recent and maybe by the time you get it it will be expired!, find out in your police dept. or wherever how log does it last!.

Also my fiancée has to get police certif. from Ecuador cause he lived there (that's where we met) and when he went to the ecuadorian embassy in Santiago they told him that they don't give that , it was only for ecuadorians plop! so he insisted and asked for the ecuadorian police Tenant or something like that (The big Boss) and luckily he said "yes these secretaries are a bunch of idiots, I will take care of you" imagine! so my advice to all is don't take the first answer always investigate and try to see the big boss!. i'm enjoying some tortilla chips, anyone want some? :)

Gemmie, good luck with the vaccinations, hope it wont hurt much, i dont like injections and i hate the hospitals smell yuk :D

Tortilla... let me check my list of foods I can eat while trying to lose weight... Hmmm... Tortilla... Tortilla... no, no Tortilla on the list (well, I don't really have a list but I'd count that as junk food... but damn... those would probably be delicious in the chili that IS on the list... for at least a few more days anyway... stupid left overs!).

Habibi: It's better if no co-sponsor is needed at all, and depending on the embassy they may not even accept co-sponsors (the philippines does not accept them for K-1's but apparently does for K-3's). You'll have to check with the regional forums to find out for sure if they accept co-sponsors or not. With a co-sponsor the requirements to meet are the same, but I assume it's always at least a little better if the petitioner is able to meet the requirements alone. If they allow a co-sponsor and you have one though it's good enough to pass.
