Hi Colin,

There is a way for you to request for the NOA1. My fiance was advised by the lady he talked to on the phone when he called in to have my name corrected on the NOA1 that normally the petitioner should call when the hard copy of the NOA1 has not been received after 30 days of receipt in the mail. That is so unfair. I hate it when that happens. How cruel can it get?

Have Jess call this number and tell them you need their action on your case: 800-375-5283. Take note of the EAC number on the cancelled check and register your case online via the USCIS website that way you can start tracking your case even without the NOA1 hard copy for now.

I am very happy that you and Jess will get to see each other again. Enjoy it and make each moment last- you won't even need places to go. You have each other... AWWW, that's really sweet of her.

Take care!

Great news happy dancer!!! I checked today no touch :(

i only got 38 days till i see my Jess! cant wait! she is visiting Engalnd for the first time! anyone got any ideas of what i could show her!!

we havent got our hardcopy of NOA1 yet how important is it! we filled 18 aug we got the EAC number off the check which has been cashed!!

*nod nod*

That's why I ended in the hospital. I so badly want to be with my fiance. The waiting game is awful - one particular things I totally suck at as I am a very impatient person and I am used to calling the shots and controlling things and getting it done my way. Pretty powerful yeah - but this whole thing is a humbling experience.

god will hear me out though. SO I keep the faith. :)

Any count down over 30 days... just seems like an eternity, probably better not to think about it at all until it's closer, a 90 day countdown probably puts you pretty close to going for a visit around the time you should get a NOA2... My next visit with my fiancee will most likely not be scheduled until her interview date is set... if I had a count down it'd probably be something like 150 days (and hopefully that's not hopeful thinking only).

All these touch reports make me want to go to the USCIS site... just in case!... but so far they are only VSC filers seeing them... once a CSC filer get's a touch I'll be on the USCIS site 3 or 4 times a day even if I don't expect to see anything.

Waiting sucks, but the more we focus on that, the longer it'll seem to take.

I'm extremely patient... I can't imagine what this process is like for the impatient. With all the touches you are seeing, assuming they aren't the result of you calling up the service center, you probably won't have to wait a whole lot longer anyway.

I there with you, I've lowered my expectations and basically have forgotten about it. For the impatient? oh man, some check the USCIS website 3 to 4 times a day!

I would just change online after you receive your NOA1, so you know you are in the system.

Here is the link: https://egov.uscis.gov/crisgwi/go?action=coa

If you have your attorney do this, then she will most likely charge you for this service.

Unless you already paid up front for the attorney to handle all of this.

Hi Colin,

Cancelled - a check that has been encashed needs to be in "cancelled" status to avoid duplicates in the future. This is just a banking term.

Ok, the way I see it, your check has been cancelled August 21? That means, they have an EAC and yes it is indicated on the cancelled check. Meaning, if thirty days have passed and you haven't received the hard copy in the mail, then you ought to call that number and tell them you haven't gotten anything.

Hope I answered your question.

Fred and Dani,

You have just met an extremely impatient person who checks that website 3-4 times times a day! Say hi to me! LOL

Oh, those lawyers - I wanna call them scammers. :)

our check has been cashed not cancelled??? :S what is that number ( immigration) how can they help!

i registerd the EAC num on 21 aug!
