USCIS should get the Oscar for Best-Tension-Givers....

I got so many updates/touches before they sent me the RFE, and now that they have the RFE since January 6, I have not gotten a touch or haven't heard anything.

Did they forget about me?

And now, according to VJ data:

Based on timeline data, your I129f may be adjudicated between December 28, 2008 and January 12, 2009*

So this means that I should have been approved by now according to everyone else that has NOA1 dates similar to mine... This is really upsetting! :crying: I know that this estimation is not set in stone, but it does tell me that I should have my approval right now when comparing with the rest of the CSC filers with the same/around the same NOA1 date.

How much longer should I give CSC until I should begin to call them regarding my case?

Please advise!

In case you are REALLY considering sending them a letter (to the service center), you will get a really nice and helpful reply that goes something like this:

Dear sir or madam (yeah, they dont even look at your name or guess).

Thank you for your fax or letter (Yeah, they dont seem to know how they got it either). We have a National Call Center that you can contact between X AM and 6 PM that can update you on the status of your case (Because we all know how much information the people at the National Call Center have). AND we even have an on-line case status on our web-site that you can access the latest status of your case (because if nothing is posted on the web-site, they probably have no clue where your case actually is - in some box somewhere in a VERY large storage facility).

(then something like) we are happy to be able to serve you (and dont call us and we wont call you).

I could type it out verbatim if you want (I have several). Then they attach the letter you sent to them, which has now been stamped with a file number (yeah, even the trash can [circular file] has a tracking number).

The best way to get one of these helpful letters is to write to the director of the Service Center. If you happen to have someone else's name, they probably wont reply.

Chuck and Grace,

Thanks for cracking me up. I think you’re right, what ever general letter i send to the agency. will certainly get treated to the LA GARBAGE CAN. So frustrating.

Do you have a name of a manager or supervisor at the vjc ?. I guess i can try that route. I keep trying to contact my senator or congressman and i think they are on a permanent lunch or something. To think how my hard earned tax $$$ is being used. aaaaayayyyyyyyyyyyy

As funny as all that sounded, it really is how the letter goes - I think I have three of them.

I dont have a manager or supervisor I dont think, but here is a list of about all the top management all over USCIS (Director in Washington has changed though. Beyond that, "officers" names within seem to only be last name. And from talking to one, I think it was some kid they hired for minumum wage that wasnt able to make it out of Jr. High School (maybe even elementary).

Anyway, here is the file with names.

Chuck and Grace,

Thanks a bunch it is highly appreciated. I think im going to loose it pretty soon im embarking on 151days now.

My approval didnt take that long (fortunately), I am not sure if I got lucky or the expedite request actually worked, but I think I do understand how you feel. Even though I got NOA2, I am now trying to exedite a Japanese visa for a Philippines citizen can visit Japan (my fiancee's daughter) so she can attend an interview at the US Embassy - it even sounds stupid to say, so I cant imagine I can ever get this to work. But to even try, my fiancee has to get new copies of several documents (because the Japan embassy wont return them and she will need them for interview at US embassy). What a mess! i feel like I am getting closer, but there seems to be a new problem daily. I just have this terrible feeling that after we go through all the trouble and expense of getting the Japanese visa (if we can even get it), I am afraid they will get rejected for some reason at the interview - I heard on another site that the Japan embassy is notoriously difficult to work with, and since my Fiancee isnt Japanese, i suspect it will be harder for her.

I am not a person to stress or worry too much generally, but this is enough to give a person an ulcer.

The Voice...? Is that the Voice as in the newspaper? I did a double take and then saw you're from the Detroit area! haha ..we're (kind of) neighbors. (but then again i think..why would the Voice be on a USCIS document?) haha

I dont know if they treat non-Japanese differently, but I am just guessing that since they would be used to dealing with Japanese paperwork instead of a mix of Philippines and Japanese, it would be different for them and maybe a reason to stall or reject.

Regarding the expedite - There is specific criteria listed on USCIS website: http://www.uscis.gov/portal/site/uscis/men...0000ecd190aRCRD

USCIS Expedite Criteria

All expedite requests are reviewed on a case-by-case basis, and are granted at the discretion of the Director. The criteria are as follows:

  • Severe financial loss to company or individual
  • Extreme emergent situation
  • Humanitarian situation
  • Nonprofit status of requesting organization in furtherance of the cultural and social interests of the United States
  • Department of Defense of National Interest Situation (Note: Request must come from official United States Government entity and state that delay will be detrimental to our Government)
  • USCIS error
  • Compelling interest of USCIS
There is a phone number on link, press 1 then * I think, you can listen to the options, but when someone finally asked they always think you are calling because your benefits have expired or something like that. After their 10 min list of scripted questions (which they wont skip and just let you tell them why you are calling), they will finally ask what you want. Tell them you want to make an expedite reqeust. They will tell you it must meet the criteria (and they have a few others not listed on the web-site). Then they ask if you meet the criteria, you say yes, they ask for your story, which they type into the system and then they give you a number. The number is completely worthless, so no real need to even write it down. Seriously, I called back to follow up on the expedite request and they told me that was just a number for me - they had no way of tracking it. I said - What the h#ll do I need a number for? Arent you guys supposed to use it for something? Anyway if you dont meet the criteria, they wont send it in. If you do, they promise to respond in 5 days (which is a nice thought, but it is an empty promise). took them 6 weeks after my request to approve my NOA2, and they never responded if they would agree to expedite or not. I was actually told they were leaning toward denying the request.

If you go this route and they dont respond in 5 days, let me know. I know how to get info out of the Call Cener for expedites even though they claim to have no information.

EDIT: Maybe you can request USCIS Error - Tell them the error was for the to take so damn long!!!!!!

ok im filling out the I-134 not sure why it seems kinda stupid since i dont have an income right now ( well i do but not an earned income) my question is this should i put down that i am recieving disibility and if so does it need an explanation? i was planning on going back to work after i finished school but i had a mild stroke and its been a little rough finding somthing that i can actually do. also i have my own house but since i've only been in it about 2 years there isnt much equalty in it so should i just leave it out (im thinking its going to hurt since its about the same as the income i would have to show ( well i have more income but its from family and childsupport) we do have somone that is going to be a co sponser and he should make more then enough without a problem. also since none of my kids are totally or even partially dependant on me do i still have to list them?

really im a little worried that we will get to the appointment and it will be denied.. then im not even sure how to handle that

has anyone actually dealt with kuwait that can give me some advice on how they are?
