I talked to my congressman's office today, and they are calling tomorrow to see if they can get any information. Hopefully it will have some impact? I don't know. It's hard to say because this would be around the time we should get approved anyway, so how could you really say what helped or what didn't? When they called in early December the VSC said it was still being adjuncated , and the backround checks were still being done, so it couldn't be sped up, so not sure how now would be any different.... We'll see! Can't hurt right?

Hey Chuck - so did you actually get your expedite request approved? Cause I see you got yours in about 3.5 months, even though your timeline has something about your request being rejected. I'm just wondering if they process yours faster if you request an expedite even if they don't formally accept it?

Honestly, I dont know. They took 6 weeks, I kept calling and calling, after a few weeks, they finally called me and ask for more info, I sent it immediately, then they wanted more becuase they "are not doctors", but I couldnt really get any more. But I kept calling and sending letters. I never got anything that said it was accepted or rejected, but finally the NOA2 got approved. My timeline is pretty close to AMY& ALDO's, and a few other Sept approvals, so I dont know if I just got lucky or the expedite had anything to do with it. But It looks like I am going to be held up again now unless I can get a Japanese visa for a Philippines citizen to attend an interview at the US Embassy - Seems complicated - especially trying to do it from here.

I did call the National Call Center on the day I was approved and complained a lot - talked to a level 2 supervisor and I even told them I was going to send my case to a congressman or senator for help, but I didnt want to do that and create more work for them. I dont know if that helped or not, but I got approval that night.

Hmm, so your fiancee is in Japan or her daughter? Do they all need to attend interviews to get visas?

Thank you for all the congratulations. Everyone else is going to be getting their NOA2 any day now. There is too much love within this forum for there not to be many, many approvals. If they are not working on my file anymore then that means they are working on one of the remaining files. I also want to thank everyone for sharing their thoughts and feelings about the entire process, it has helped more than I can express.

Congrats on the NOA2's...

and I'm going to manila on Feb 3 (get there Feb 4 thanks to the joys of time zones and 25 hour flights it comes to a 39 hour difference), her interview date is the 6th, and all goes well we'll fly home together on feb 17th... I'm finally counting down to a specific day... instead of counting up until who knows when. I am sure everyone will have NOA2's by then, I don't think I will win the first august filer to get their fiance(e) into the US race but I should be in the top 10 maybe ... I'm excited!

Great news Maliciant, i'll be attending my Babe's interview too..........i really can't wait to see my Angel Congrats again and best of luck on the interview.
