Chuck - I should keep my head up but being in this waiting room for almost 5 months without any sign of NOA2 is not fun at all.

I know. Hang in there. At least the weather in the Philippines is great :) I miss it already! And the Mango's too! There is NO SUCH THING AS GOOD MANGO's in the US. Sorry, they dont compare to the Philippines!

I am right there with everyone still waiting ... I probably shouldn't check the USCIS site everyday, it just makes my heart drop every time I see no change. Every time Asako and I have to part at the airport it gets harder and harder. Going months without a peep from USCIS just makes it feel like it will take forever to get this thing :( At least right now we have my February visit to Tokyo to look forward to ... but this seemingly eternal wait is pretty depressing. I am keeping my hopes up that we will have our NOA2 by then ...

Oh boof, I know exactly what you mean. It's draining isn't it? Wish you all the best on your trip in February. Good luck and hopefully you'll have your NOA2 by then.

Hey Chuck - so did you actually get your expedite request approved? Cause I see you got yours in about 3.5 months, even though your timeline has something about your request being rejected. I'm just wondering if they process yours faster if you request an expedite even if they don't formally accept it?

Honestly, I dont know. They took 6 weeks, I kept calling and calling, after a few weeks, they finally called me and ask for more info, I sent it immediately, then they wanted more becuase they "are not doctors", but I couldnt really get any more. But I kept calling and sending letters. I never got anything that said it was accepted or rejected, but finally the NOA2 got approved. My timeline is pretty close to AMY& ALDO's, and a few other Sept approvals, so I dont know if I just got lucky or the expedite had anything to do with it. But It looks like I am going to be held up again now unless I can get a Japanese visa for a Philippines citizen to attend an interview at the US Embassy - Seems complicated - especially trying to do it from here.

I did call the National Call Center on the day I was approved and complained a lot - talked to a level 2 supervisor and I even told them I was going to send my case to a congressman or senator for help, but I didnt want to do that and create more work for them. I dont know if that helped or not, but I got approval that night.

How do you know the NVC does this?

You don't.

It's just what I've gathered around, trying to figure why we're stuck.

We got our hard copy of the NOA2 today (a week later) and we're a little confused.

It mentions that our file has been forwarded to "the Consulate" stated and then they don't list London anywhere and they don't mention the NVC either - isn't it their job to forward it to the Consulate?

I really hope most of the 'checking' is done at the service center. I don't think I could handle an RFE or denial after the joy of getting the NOA2

This waiting is wearing me down, nothing from no where, i'm tired of just waiting and not be able to do anything for this visa thing, i was hoping by the end of the last year, i had such big hopes and then big disappointments, i'm tired of waking up everyday with hopes and go to bed at the end with nothing, it is not fair for these people to do this to us, its just not, we are engaged, married, we also have relationships, we need our partners and we cant be with them, i dont want to wait anymore, i have no tears left to cry or something to hope for, i have no appetite to eat or any motivation to go on, i thought i'm strong, i dont like to complain after all i choose this way, i'm trying to stay positive but some days are really dark... :(:(

Dani, I understand how you feel, it happens to must of us! It is so hard and unfair that you have to ask for the approval of a stranger to be with your soul mate? But there is nothing we can do about it, and it doesnt make it easier to complain about it ...We must keep positives, dont doubt, dont lose faith! If you get sad or something, get online and check our August Filers forum, and be sure that at least one person has gotten ther approval today! and it means that sooner it will be our approval!

So try to kee positives, think about the things you will do after you get together! listen to your favorite song! watch MAMA MIA! It`ll make you feel better!

We are here to support each other! And believe in the fact that we are all getting our approvals!

Kisses!

There's no RFE coming from NVC. NVC is just a black hole. Cases get stuck, things happen to them, eventually they are forwarded. Hopefully, it doesn't take forever. But sometimes it does.

I agree with you about how slow VSC is being. I called today as well only to get the waiting song and dance. It does get harder each time you have to say goodbye to your sweetheart. I have been doing it for years now and just can not hardly take it. I am to the point I cry everyday about being without him. There are many of us in the same situation with waiting to hear something. I just hope soon all of us do.
