like maliciant sais before, i was probably just overdue, the supervisor will be able to let you know if you have and RFE or any issues but if you can get a hold of level 2 guy, he will have more information, when i was talking to him he told me someone is working on my petition, i was kinda confused at that point... then we finished talking and that night i got an email for approval... don't be rude, just be firm!!

We have the same timeline and when i talked to level two guy today he found it to be normal. He told me its withing time limit. I asked if he can transfer me somewhere and say he couldn't. I even explain to him how came some people got approved and he said it depends on the case. Which all of us have the same case. Do they keep truck of the people when we call them??

somehow level 2 guy knew that someone was working on my petition, or he was just Bsing and guessed right...

well i guess u lucky.

yeah, I figured it was a canned answer, he looked up my case, but never asked my name. just kept asking if I was the petitioner.

I asked if my case had been assigned to anyone, and he didn't really answer me. just gave me the answer that since the last petitions are still being processed from march that it could be another 4-5 months.

What is your primary question when you call? Just to see if your case has been assigned to someone? or is there something more effective I could ask?

i told the supervisor, i wanted to know what is going on with my case exactly, and he told me i was within the processing time frame, i then asked him why others filed after me got approved already, he then said that each case is process differently, i told him i've talked to alot of people(VJ ;) ) and their case is the same as mines , nothing special, then repeat question again, then he will transfer you to level 2 guy. then you will repeat everything again, keep asking for the status of YOUR case then he will probably tell you more info... This is important, before you talked to the supervisor and level 2 guy, ask them if they want your case number, that way they know who you are and they have your information opened and ready to add notes..

sure... keep trying even though the first or second call doesn't work, you just have to be proactive...

Thank you Thank you!

I must add that I had to listen to a hole bunch of recording until I reach the visa for fiances part, then at the end they tell you to press 0 for a visa expert assistance. (Sigh) I was as stressed and nervous as you before calling of course went to the bathroom like 2 times!. I know in the Philipines is different you have to call for an interview and you set it up, that's much better!. Unfortunately for Chile they give you a date.

But keep calling people just take a deep breath! :P

Congratulations Cuchita, everything will be alright :)

Its hard to understand what's going on, when NOA2 from september, late august and just days around your day are being processed, but not mine. Its almost like they skipped over my application. I am frustrated with our immigration system. I don't like how certain people get to decide whether someone can be with their love one. They do not know about the emotions and feelings that are involved in this process. I don't know how i would like to have the system set up if i had the choice to change it, but i would try to make the process go faster and more personalized. Everyone has a "Pursuit of Happiness", and mine is to be with my fiancee and future wife. I guess i am just blah blah with my frustrations.
