I am working hard here contacting Senator Boxer and Congresswoman Hilda Solis, i've got them both involved now, so we'll see if they can speed things up. the good thing is Congreswoman's office is like 10min from my house, so I can just drive there if I become extremely desperate. I've sent letters to the senator and congresswoman already and they said they will have a case worker look into it. and will contact me with updates. so for those that are still waiting, this is probably the next step, if you don't be com proactive then you'll probably be at the same spot for awhile....

Letters signed, sealed, and delivered (faxed and mailed) to Senator Claire McCaskill and Senator Kit Bond. We'll see. I'm not a fan of Bond, but we were born in the same small town where he still has his residence, so of course I threw that in. /lame, but hey, I'm desperate

As far as congressional support - I DONT KNOW if this had anything to do with it or not, but I called USCIS, told them I wanted an answer and said something to the extent of "I dont really want to call the congressmen or senators for support because that just creates extra work for you guys, but I really need an answer". I got approval the same day. Maybe pure coincidence, maybe not. But just in case, you might want to call and throw that in there. If there is anyway you can get to a supervisor I think your chances would be better.

ok, i spoke to USCIS level 2 guy, he said that we can wait until next month if nothing happends then we can requeset an expidite and it will take 5-7 days to complete... so there is some good news there...

What number you called? Because I don't ever get the option to speak to a person. I tried today and no success.

ok, i spoke to USCIS level 2 guy, he said that we can wait until next month if nothing happends then we can requeset an expidite and it will take 5-7 days to complete... so there is some good news there...

Dont count on the 5 days. They tell you they will respond, but for me, they took 6 weeks and never responed, but I did get NOA2. Since some Sept filers were being approved around the same time, I dont know if it was normal processing or the expedite request.

They told me they did respond in 6 days, but actually I never received anything. The only way I found that out was by calling again (several times), explained my situation and finally got someone who would help me. If you do an expedite request, they give you a number - the number is WORTHLESS!!!! When you call back, they tell you that is just a number for you, they cant track it - Why the heck do I need a number? Anyway, if you can then get them to put in a Second Expedite request (assuming you havent gotten the response), they will be able to see the status of the first request, so if there is an RFE or anything, they can tell you then.

The wait another month is just becuase you will be out of processing time at that point right?

I would really expect you to get approval soon - probably within the next 2 days. I hope so for you - Good luck.

Hello to all, just wanted to let you know that Costel and I have been approved and have our noa2.

When I got home from work yesterday (1-5-09) I checked USCIS and found that we had been touched that day. Today when I come home from work I had another nice surprise waiting for me---------2 e-mails------one from my love and the second from Cris. I am soooooooooooooooooo excited and very worried about the next step in paper work but I know that you all will help us and for that we are very grateful. We have not been members long but have really had so much support and help-------thank you so much and believe me we will be asking more questions sooooooooooo thank you in advance. Oh I know of one already-------where does uscis sent the approval and how do we get intouch with them. I remember reading on here somewhere but for the life of me can not seem to remember.

Helloworld my boyfriend also called USCIS today, but they said they were working on march cases, he told me something about an "infopass", I am aiting for him to call me tonight to get more details .. but does it sound familiar to you?
