this wait is taking a tole on the relationship, someone please give me some advice....

Hey, i'm probably not the best person to give advices, but the only one thing i can say

is just think how much you love your girl and that the only one way to be with her again

is to go thru this waiting...think for the things you want to do together, for your plans,

dreams, and all that....just get lost in such thoughts and you'll survive somehow....

i know its hard, its been a long time since i havent seen chris, since july, and all i think

about us the time that will come for us after we get together, this gives me comfort and

a hope and motivation to go ahead...be patient, deep inside yourself you know its worth it...

and you have nice friends here to make you smile and give you courage :)

be safe

Yeah... you said 2 months... I'm a little worried I'll have a hard time getting 2 weeks here... I'm sure they'll give it to me but they are going to groan a lot about it, I might find myself agreeing to slave like a dog or something to convince them to let me go... though really it's more a 'key person' type situation... they are worried while I'm gone something will break... but seriously... anything less than 2 weeks... the price and the time spent in planes and airports alone DEMANDS at least 2 weeks...

Jazz_acid: I'm just curious, how long ago did you schedule that interview? Had you received anything from the embassy saying you could schedule it? I'm plotting to call still but also expecting to fail... I think it takes them a few days to enter the cases into the system after they receive the physical file... going to call anyway, I mean what the heck, I'm paying for three calls anyway so I get two more retries before I regret calling too soon.

I called today, i was hesitant tho, but was too itchy to call, so i did and yeah they gave me interview dates, actually its suppose to be on the 13th, but i need to have a week gap from the medical to the interview. so i took 16th.

thanks and pls pray for me and my baby on the way!

Uhm... talking about encouragement, I surely need some too. I hope and pray for everyone who don't have their NOA2s yet. I am also praying for all the rest who are going through the medical and interview phase. Have faith - you'll never go wrong. Sometimes, God has to feel your trust with all your heart, or make you do so, before giving you what you want.

Hang in there everyone.

My buddy HW and the rest...my words of encouragement came from a former VJ'r near my town that I happen to learn about VJ from. She told me that on those days it seems it will never happen and that you're so lonely you'll never get through, just think about how special this is to all of us, that we would fight this hard for someone we love. Anyone can pick someone up in the local Las Vegas bar and marry them w/out a thought, but to put this much effort into something shows how important and solid it is. She also told me that it feels like a million years right now, but once they are with us, it feels like it was just a blip in our lives.

It will come soon for you all (NOA2s) and all of us will be living happily ever after (and driving our SO's mad) very soon.

Hugz to you all and to myself as well.

HW: Uh advice... give your woman lots of back massages/foot massages/whatever the heck she wants massaged massages! while you are in china? This whole process is pretty brutal, long, and depressing, but what else can you do... and really the answer is take the abuse, she's that important and hopefully she feels the same about you. Anyway, it's monday, I expect this to be a great week for august filers, and I think I'd even put money on HW getting a NOA2 this week.

HD: Take a slice of HW's encouragement pie... I really think this will be one of the best weeks for VSC august filers, but it's really hard to know.

I'm surprised how quickly interview dates can be set, apparently within a week or two instead of the month+ I expected (and I considered a month pretty quick too...). I don't know how long it'll hold up but now it's seeming likely that I'll have to ask for a later interview date to accomodate plane ticket buying... that is once I can actually schedule the interview.

this wait is taking a tole on the relationship, someone please give me some advice....

I know exactly what you mean. I find that mentally rewinding to the beginning of the relationship helps a great deal. Think about each little exciting moment. The times when your heart skips a beat, the knots you feel in your stomach of joy and loss when separated. One simple thing I do when the relationship waiting gets to be too much is fold little origami animals and put them in letters I write to him. Sure sometimes when you are upset you want to tear the paper to bits and run screaming, but the focus on little forms of simple affection will help. Every time I see my sweetheart after months of waiting I have an origami folded lily or rose and the look on his face is priceless. Think of that look, and then think of the ways to create it again. Pass your time thinking of these ways. It is helping me to get through the waiting. When my sweetheart has taken the time to write me a poem or hand make a card for me, while he is no artist, it has meant more to me than any expensive gift he could ever buy. Love will guide you, just allow it to. :star:

Hi All,

So I dissapeard over the last couple weeks. I was home with my family and not speanding a lot of time online.

So this morning i am back on VJ and back working on all my documents needed for my guys interview.

I also called the NVC to check on my petition and see if they had sent it out yet. Not only have they not sent it out yet, they say they haven't even recived it! I was approved on Dec. 19th and had my last touch on Dec. 21 (which I assumed was the day they sent it to NVC), now I know things are probablly slow with the holidays, but I am shicked they haven't recived it yet. I was really hoping it would be half way to Kenya by now. :crying:

Did you talk to an actual person at the NVC? The reason I ask is because if you use the automated service the K1 applicants are not in that system, So you have to talk to a real person.

Yes i am also surprised by the dates being so early. They are now getting ahead of us. Marian is going to her medical on Monday Jan 12, and it looks like the very next week she might be able to go and get the interview. Wow, we were looking at late Jan or early Feb. Things moving faster than we thought.

Also it looks like our case arrived there in Jan 5, so when i called to make the interview they probably dont have it in their system yet. So I will call today and we should get that appt. I will let you know what we get.
