Calling is worthless, from what I have seen from what others have posted, you will just be told that they are working on April and you have 3-4 months to wait. You know this is BS because people in August are being approved. Don't waste your time.

Just sit back and relax, August filers are being processed, you will get yours.

Ironically USCIS just sent a bounce notice for my NOA2 saying the letter was returned. Apparently they don't forward immigration mail and I still have a forward on my box from deployment.

The clowns on at USCIS asked a slew of ignorant questions, updated my address to the same thing that it is currently, put a bunch of notes on the account, and promised a response within 45 days while frankly I don't really care to hear from them again.

Does not matter since the package already left NVC.

WOOOOOOOT!!!

So jealous

But happy that this time tomorrow I will have picked Chris up from the airport :)

I just read your signature, as a military member with experience in clearances, intelligence, etc. I can tell you this makes absolutely no sense. No where would USCIS ever have anything to do with a DoD security clearance. Office of Personnel Management might ask THEM for information in order to process a clearance which is not uncommon when you have foreign contacts (eg. USCIS may be contacted to verify that you're immigrating legally as a clearance will be denied if one is found to be associating with an illegal immigrant.)

The only reason I can think of for this that is even close to logical is that the military is investigating him for something or there is other derogatory information on his OPM investigation that would preclude him from being allowed to sponsor a visa. When I first consulted with an attorney about all of this I was informed that the I-129F approval process is an investigation into the person making the request and not the beneficiary, the beneficiary investigation comes once the package is at the embassy.

There is a link on the top of your screen, Embassy Info. Find your country and all the steps and phone numbers will be listed there. You need to call around to get the information.

BTW: Your country has inferior potassium.

You call the NVC. The number is 603-334-0700 (I know this because it's safely stored in my cell phone haha). Basically you call, press 1 for English, press 2 and then get put on hold for a while until the operator picks up or they'll tell you they're too busy and to call back later. I find it's best to call after 6. They'll ask for your receipt number from the NOA1. Then they can tell you if they've received the case from the service center and give you your new case number. They'll tell you it takes 2-4 weeks for them to receive it from the service center and process it, but in most cases that's a total lie. Just keep calling. If you call back a few days after they've received it, they can tell you when they've sent it to the embassy.

Hope that was helpful!

DeathNova: I think you need the actual hard copy of the NOA2 for AOS later on... so even if you don't want to hear from them again... you need to make sure to get that.

Glad it's all worked out... I think $250 is pretty much a standard fee for rescheduling flights, I saw something about that on expedia or orbitz or whatever place I bought my plane tickets through last time, hopefully no more problems though.

I see Cherry and Edward got approved... it's Cherry and Dan that need approved CIS... they gave my approval to the wrong cherry!

This is looking to be the highest number of approvals since august filers started filing at CSC... that plus the fact that so many august people have been approved this week makes this pretty much the best week ever (for CSC anyway).
