Fred is officially a show off... so does this mean now fred can't call other people who get NOA2's show offs... or is it just all that much funnier now!

I was pretty confident you'd get your NOA2 before christmas, and especially before your visit, let me just say I told you so... also, I told you I'd convince you that you'd give me your plane tickets, and you are running out of time to do so, no rush or anything, just thought I'd remind you time is running out on that!

WOW! That's GREAT!!!

I bet you never expected it!

Oh, FYI for those freaking out about my "marriage" in Thailand--by Isaan standards, I'm already married (because I met her mother...that's all it takes up there-long story but I'm married)...we're just doing the ceremony when I go to get her...and like MOST Thais, they get married and never submit paperwork. She's been "married" before BUT has to answer NO on all paperwork...because she never got an "official" marriage by government standards (paperwork). Most of the country does this unless they're purchasing property or business together. I think most should do it anyway. Our "official" paperwork marriage will occur in the USA.

... Been accused of Immigration fraud, cheating, scamming the government and all kinds of wonderful things here on VJ but I'm not getting officially married any more than two men or me and my dog can get married in my state (but they're welcome to have a ceremony)...I've married my baby dog several times and kiss her good night...but I'm not cheating on my wife...I'm not "really" married to my dog

If no papers are filed, nothing happened. We're not filing for a license, not having anyone sign anything, only having a monk come by and bless us and go through all of the motions, dowry, party but no registration, no papers, have to answer NO on all paperwork. It's for family integrity (steeped in primitive culture, tradition and pride)...doesn't look good to run away with a man and not be married (which is why we're already referred to as husband and wife in their culture, by her family and everyone who knows us...if you live together, over there, you refer to your roomate as your spouse). In the old days, travel and all, once a couple was together, they're referred to as a married couple and the official wedding usually follows soon thereafter.

I already met the parents and got their approval and passed their afternoon of grilling. Isaan Thais have a LOT of cultural traditions and in her area, they stick to a lot of ancient stuff. I'm just happy we're going Buddhist and not the Medieval style pre-Buddhist sacrificial wedding (kill animals Hindu-preBuddhist style). Luckily it'll be a high monk so we'll be eating veggies and rice, maybe some bacteria fish, too.

Evewybody wewax, it's just a cewemony!
