I don't even have a hard copy of my NOA1 but my lawyer does, I have the case number so I'll wait wait wait.

Stress? that's bad for you, you can only take this a day at a time. I came back in the end of July from seeing my fiancee and August was the most stressful month for me. Now its September, so many things to get me distracted, TV Shows are back, football (American), more projects and travel at work and my next travel to the Philippines for January.

So hang in there, stay strong and try not to stress too much.

I'm with you on this....I couldn't have picked a better time of the year to wait this process out. Can't wait for a new season of The Office and CSI (Vegas) to get rolling. And football season (college and NFL) followed soon by college hoops. Time will go by more easily I guess.

PLUS (and maybe this is just me).. I always find that time goes faster in the winter as it gets dark so early at night.

In the UK, it's only light from 8-4 some days! That makes me want to study more for some reason. A book on my lap, a cup of tea beside me and the phone by my side waiting for my daily US phonecall. Before I know it, it's Christmas! And should be time for approvals!

And your fiancee of course. God knows I have my share of rants at my own when there's nothing that can be done about the wait or the unknown. He handles it a lot better than I do. He's perfectly happy to brush it aside now that it's filed until he receives the NOA2. Me? The foreigner? I'M checking the site every day even though I know it will be the same.

Ok guys, so my fiance called the USCIS today..

He told them the story, unfortantly they weren't alloud to tell us weither or not our petition is in their hands (to be SURE) lol, but he gave them our names, and they said they would look in to it and send us a new NOA1 by mail and if we haven't received it within thursday next week, we should call them again..

So thats good news for us, atleast we now know that SOMETHING is happening and they are aware of us

So hopefully we will have the NOA1 by this week or early next week, I really hope!!

Yay i'm so happy, seems like they just 'forgot' us or something and we are expecting it very soon!!

My fiance preposed to me on his last day in Denmark, it was just him and me, was also very romantic

But then it was just extra hard to say goodbye few hours later, he left on 16th July and I won't see him untill I get the visa .

But it is worth it

Well, my fiance proposed in the resting place of the Avila Mountaing in Caracas, on June 26th, 2008........ It was a wonderfull day, full of birds, the weather was awesome ... we climb the mountain and found many kind of cute animals, so much kind of birds and butterflies, WE ALSO FOUND A SNAIL!! UNBELIEVABLE!!! A SNAIL IN A MOUNTAIN!!! ok!!! we did saw it!!! it was amazing..... several times I told Noah I felt we were on a Disney movie ha-ha and that something wonderfull was going to happen (he thought I knew about his intentions, but I really had NO idea).... after we got to the rest place of the Avila, we had lunch and started talking about many things....he was telling me how much he loves the Avila Mountain... he spent there most of his childhood, climbing and hiking...........and that it was so wonderfull that he could share that with me..... . and then he asked me if I would spend my life with him .... I said ofcourse babe!! ... as we already asked each other this kind of things... and he asked again, would you marry me ?? I got a little nervious .. and answer Yes!??? ....so he got so red face, and with tears in his eyes and a ring on his hand asked again WOULD YOU BE MY WIFE?? OH MY GOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I STARTED SCREAMING AND CRYING YESS YESS YESSS YESSSS!!!!! we both kissed, and hugged, and screamed together, cried of happiness and joy... it was amazing!!! It was really a magic day... the universe and nature conspired for it to be the perfect day!

He went back tu the US on June 29th... we havent seen each other since then..... now waiting for our NOA2!!!!!

I don't know if this has been asked before but since the check has been cashed, can you get the case number? That way you can sign on and see any touches and when they sent a notice.

I'd like to know that too, our check has been cashed and no NOA yet, I know it hasnt been long, but it seems everyone else around us got these in 3 or 4 days for August, Im just hoping it hasnt been lost in the post....

The number should be on the back of the check, or do what we did and contact the bank to ask what the numbers are. Then use them to see your case status online at the USCIS site.

Are you Chris or Mara? USC or non USC?

Whoever the USC is, if you have an online bank account, you can get the case number from the back of the electronic copy of the check. If you don't have this (or just can't see it properly), see if you can call or visit the bank and ask them what the numbers are. It should start with three letters like EAC or WAC.

Once you have the number, you can go to the USCIS site, click on Case Status Online and use it to sign up and check.

Bill was the same. As we were getting the packet ready, he was all over the guides but he's not the type to come and post during the process, as much as I try and get him to do it. This is my Godsend though.
