August 2008 Filers

There is actually a VSC only thread out there somewhere, I seem to recall seeing it once... but this one has pretty much always just been a combined thread and I assume that it was the intent of the original poster, it was just assumed by the next reply that they had meant it to be VSC specific because the poster filed at VSC...

HYENA: Your post might have been easier to read if you used CODE and /CODE tags around it, the spacing may have remained consistant... or you could have manually aligned it...

I'm of the opinion that CSC has had a few early august approvals.

The first one is definitely august, no question... and I consider the second one an august filer too, there isn't much chance that petition was actually received in july, some may disagree on that one, but either way, that's about as early august as it gets for CSC. Then of course we have my favorite approvals...

They are either mid-month or end of the month depending on how you want to look at them... they are my favorite though because they match my sent and NOA1 dates, I'm still hopeful I'm on that particular dudes desk but it's seeming less likely as time goes on, I might just have to stay in line behind the early august filers (hey, if the government makes me cut in front of you in line... it's not my fault... seriously...). Anyway, at this point we just need to see lots of approvals, there have been a range of approvals for august filers already, now we just need to see about 60 or so more approvals (this week would be nice but I assume it'll take closer to 3).

I aligned it and it got all funky on me so I went back in and edited it again, then Dr. Funkmeister came back (my code capabilities are scant).

I do see your point; it looks as if they're biting the sandwich from the middle (evildoers, shame on them)...then again, I'm at the middle for NOA1 or at the beginning based on Sent date....so I dunno...I just want what I want and I want it now (I seem to be forgetting my sage-like patience I had only a few hours ago)!...Now I'll be losing it here if they don't get on the stick! I can honestly say I have the feeling mine will take 6 months for NOA2. I don't know why but I've had this feeling for months now since we filed. I hope this is just more magical thinking I need to flush!

It is fun to go back a month or two and read their posts...they're "us" but only a couple months earlier...waiting, theorizing, calculating, worrying (some cases peeing) LOL! Then you click on their timelines and (most) have their NOA2's and some are interviewing...a couple are HERE!

Hi Everyone! I've been following this thread since the beginning, but never posted. I wanted to finally post to let you all know that we received our NOA2 today. I think I'm what Maliciant would call a July filer, but I feel like I'm August all the way! Thank you to all of you for supporting and entertaining me, even though you didn't know you were!!

PS: Harsh...I am also flying to India to see my SO soon. January 8th out of Newark...can you make sure there are no storms or anything else to delay me. I haven't seen him in 5 months so I'm very excited to get there as quick as possible!!!

lol, Moksha, I can't predict the weather haha, but I will try my best to help your flight get airborne and avoid any delays. I am a controller at LaGuardia, but we work closely with Newark Tower and I can make some phone calls and pull some strings. Are you flying into New Delhi?

And to comment that CSC is so random in their approvals, can I get approved too? And soon, like tomorrow????

Oh how can I explain...I am on the verge of insanity...it's like they think..."OK, let's make her think she is getting her NOA2 and not really give it to her..." some cruel idea of a joke by the CSC I believe...

But anyway...I look forward to checking USCIS website a million times a day, just hoping that they finally hand it to me...same goes for checking emails and postal mail...it is driving my family nuts too that I get so fussy with the mail and all...

That's how its going to be until the NOA2!!!

But we are hanging in there, hopefully it wont be much longer... :wacko:

Bottom line: Yes I have gone bonkers, not absolutely but I am on the verge of it!!!!!!

It's funny to call CSC random when a few months ago we were watching VSC filers from september get approved in record times (I think 4 days from noa1 to noa2 for one person!)... but CSC is definitely all over the map for this month.

I think VSC only cranked out another approval today just to stay one up on CSC... but they day ain't over yet (especially for CSC but I kind of expect VSC will show at least another approval before the night is done).

Well I was hoping you could work some of your controller magic on the weather too! It's the running joke around me that no one makes any plans for the days that I'm flying out to India because there is ALWAYS some kind of storm! Doesn't matter if it's winter or summer! Yes, I am taking that long flight into New Delhi...straight through from Newark! I am certainly racking up the frequent flyer miles, but it's all worth it!

Thank you! As excited as I am I think I'm in for a long ride! From what I've been reading about the New Delhi Consulate lately they pretty much want everything but your first born!!! So we are prrparing and preparing again! Lots of evidence but I still don't know if that will be enough! It seems like everyone going through Delhi goes into AP. I'm keeping my fingers crossed!

I just went to check our case online. Just because. And... we've been touched since. Our current Last Updated field displays 12/15/2008.
