Sending it before a long holiday weekend is hard but if you waited until afterwards, it would take even longer. At least you have it all sent now so can sit back and wait for the little things like check cash and NOA1.

I agree that some Canadians are really lucky to be able to drive to their OH. Not all of them, of course! But I've seen many people on here that have driven across the border as often as every 2 weeks... lucky them! I'm extremely lucky that I get to visit my fiancee every 2-3 months usually. It's a case of struggling financially just to crack $1000 out for another visit but I'm not strong enough to wait as long as some bravehearts here.

Take some soilace in the fact that you are on the same continent so the possibilities of visits are more possible and cheaper. I wanted to be able to visit for a couple of weeks next month, sadly i dont have a spare 3k lieing around....

i'm sorry. i forget sometimes that people are so far away and can't visit as often as two months (though even two months seems like forever). it's so frustrating, this process. sometimes i think they make it difficult to keep people who are not as hearty as some, apart.

we were engaged on the same day :)

Gemmie, that is so nice!

Congratulations, im very happy for you.

Now im just waiting alone, my fiance will call them on Tuesday and hopefully we find out what is happening, its been 1 month now :s.

Alexandria - Thank you so much :luv:

Hello Shanira, :star: as I was reading, you havent received your NOA1, I met a girl here in Venezuela who got the NOA1 about 2 months and a half after sending the I129F, and the NOA2 two weeks after that!!! it was amazing! So, be positive, everything its gonna be alright if you keep your mind positive. I also think you should call to the Vermont Center again, and give your both names, explain the date you sent the I129F, you can try again.

I wish you so much luck! and to all the couples of the forum! Kisses

Mia,

Hi Mia

Thanks alot for writing that, im sooo worried and I really cannot wait till my fiance comes home tomorrow after he speak with them!!

Hopefully they will be able to see what is happening with our case by our names, dates etc. since we have no casenumber (check is cashed though).

It sounds amazing with that girl from Venezuela, well you never know and you can always hope :)

Thanks for your positive words, hopefully I will give you an update tomorrow on this.

Awww so sweet! Mine might sound kinda generic but it was pretty amazing.

He was going to ask me before but I always told him it wasn't the right time so stopped him before he did it. Then last year, the day before his birthday, we went to Cape Cod (they have some pretty beaches) and after dinner, sat together on the jetty. He was sitting behind me with his arms around me.. I knew he was going to ask so was getting really nervous and he was too. Then he pulled the ring box out and gave me a speech about how much I mean to him and how he knows there's no one else... I was so touched and embarassed that I giggled when he asked me!! I told him to keep going, and he carried on telling me wonderful things. Then when he asked me again, I giggled again and said yes... then we kissed and I opened the box to see my pretty ring.

Any news, Shanira?

Ok guys, so my fiance called the USCIS today..

He told them the story, unfortantly they weren't alloud to tell us weither or not our petition is in their hands (to be SURE) lol, but he gave them our names, and they said they would look in to it and send us a new NOA1 by mail and if we haven't received it within thursday next week, we should call them again..

So thats good news for us, atleast we now know that SOMETHING is happening and they are aware of us :)

So hopefully we will have the NOA1 by this week or early next week, I really hope!!

Yay i'm so happy, seems like they just 'forgot' us or something and we are expecting it very soon!! :)

- I just read how your fiance preposed to you, Gemmie..

That sounds so sweet and romantic!

My fiance preposed to me on his last day in Denmark, it was just him and me, was also very romantic

But then it was just extra hard to say goodbye few hours later, he left on 16th July and I won't see him untill I get the visa :(.

But it is worth it ;)

I received my NOA1 today, it was apparently sent out on the 27th of august. Now for the apparently most fun part... waiting for who knows how long for who knows what (though I assume noa2 is the next thing I'll see, an rfe is always possible).

I can relate to this comment completely.

Bearable is all that the webcam, phone call, and internet can do.
