I moved here for work, and I don't know anyone in Kentucky yet except for the 2 guys that work in the office. We should have a Kentucky VJ meet-up :-)

I can't wait to have my man here to explore Kentucky with. The time went by easier when I was with my friends and family but now that I am here alone it is a lot harder.

On a sad note, someone tried to steal my car last night. Luckly they were bad car thiefs and I still have my car, after spending 20 min struggeling to get the screw drive that they broke off in the ignition out.

wow lucky you still have it tho. thats why i moved from louisville.

yea we should have a get together for sure

Chris went to his appointment

So apparently our case has been held up at USCIS and passed off too the defense service. Turns out his secruity clearance is causing problems with the system.

He forgot to ask for our NOA1

We have no number and a delayed case, so who knows when I'll actually get to go home.

I just came across an August approval for VSC (NOA1 dated Aug 5)....

Where are ours at CSC?????

I have a feeling tomorrow will be CSC's beginning for Aug approvals, if not, then at least by the end of this week, we need approvals!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

There was a at least a 2 week period where hardly any NOA1s were issued for July filers. For instance, I sent my application in on the 26th of July, it was received on the 30th of July, and I didn't get my NOA1 until August 11th. To my knowledge, all of the early August approvals you'll see on Igor's list were people who actually sent their files into VSC in July but had to wait longer than average for their NOA1s.

If that makes you feel any better!

California has been cranking them out lately, so don't worry! :)

Based on the NOA1 date only there were lots of approvals for august filers, but because of that two week dead zone for VSC... I refuse to count em... based on the date the petition was sent in this is the closest thing to an august approval at VSC...

mounssaif & charity 2008-07-25 2008-08-08 2008-12-05 2008-12-05

Some would call that an august approval and I'd even say it's damn close to one... but I consider the cutoff date for sending the petition as 7-28 or later (everyone else is just unlucky in that their NOA1 took a long time because VSC was foolin around with citzenship applications or something).

CSC has actually had one I consider closer to an august filer... they are not showing on igors list since it happened last week something like 30 approvals ago... but they sent their petition 7-27 and got the noa1 7-29... close but still a july filer. That one got my hopes up for a while but then nothing else has been that close to an august filer since.

There's still about 20 June filers showing on igors for CSC and 40 July filers, I know at least a few of the june filers are still waiting but I suspect probably half or more of them may simply have forgotten VJ... I didn't look that carefully though... I assume probably most of the july filers on igors are probably legitimately still waiting for noa2's... so even if we see our first august approval this week... we're probably still at least a week away from seeing a week loaded with august approvals

Oh how it pains me to face this truth! :crying:

Oh well, just a couple of weeks is fine compared to the approx 4 months we have all been waiting... :D

*hugs* thanks HD can always count on you. I was, well ill be honest, I was crushed this morning when Chris told me that our petition has been delayed and that he forgot to get the number. Of course stupid me pointed out to him that the point was to get said stupid number so he then proceeded to beat himself up about it. He is going to call the defense people tomorrow and see what he can do to get them the info they need and get our case back to USCIS.

Hopefully it will be something easy and we can get through this with little drama, and I can get home.

Though to be honest Im now expecting that I won't be back in the states till April or May :(.

Amy&Aldo - You are classed as an September Filer as that is the date it was recieved by USCIS, and i will be processed with September cases (unless USCIS has a backflip and randomly draws your case like it seems to do sometimes) however we might forgive you for hiding in our super cool, ready to be processed, August filers thread.

Awww--thanks Mara! (F) The August thread IS super cool, I must say...September is almost comatose right now. I don't know what's up with us...

Amy, I am SOOOOOOOOOOOO Disappointed in you. September has about 3-5 people that post, at least one of them are not from Sept group (THanks Fred), and YOU are trying to defect :bonk: . What's up with that? Trader!!!!!!!
