I'm sort of an August filer (filed in July, NOA1 is dated August) and I'm checking my case LIKE CRAZY! Any day now! A ton of July filers were approved last week so here's to hoping for another productive week before the holidays undoubtedly slow everything down!

How are you all holding up? If you're anything like me, you're ridiculously antsy :). So soon AAAAAAAAAAAHHHHH!

I have to agree that you are a july filer, but only just barely, your NOA1 was just slow, I kind of figure a sent date of the 28th or more counts as august and you show the 26th... let's just call it dual thread citizenship, this is just my own nitpicky rule for what I consider the first august NOA2 (you'll get yours soon I'm sure but I'm saving my best WOOOOOOO HOOOOOOOOOO for someone who falls into my definition of august). But more important... I'm gettin antsy as hell... and I know it's going to get worse as things get closer.

I think actually your NOA1 date makes you an August filer. I sent my 129F in August and received my NOA1 on Sept. 2--"they" tell me that makes me a September filer.

I won't argue with they since you filed on pretty much on the the day before the last day of the month, which was also a weekend, I'd considering you a september filer as well, but of course... dual thread citizenship is based on technicalities so you know, you qualify for it too...

I pretty much watch a few other people who are early in the month, cause they are the ones that indicate that I can actually hope to get an approval myself soon... I'm fairly late in the month so I have to just expect to live vicariously through the early august filers approvals for a few weeks...

Ok, I know this is totally off-topic, but I was wondering...

Can anyone recommend stores for bridal registries?

Just planning ahead, especially stores where a new couple can get stuff for the apartment/new house...quality but not expensive.. :D

P.S. Stores in the USA

Yes, Bed Bath and Beyond as well as Pottery Barn and also Pier 1 Imports are on my list...I think that should be enough, I am planning on getting bridal registries at these places and then buying whatever was not purchased afterward. My family may be hosting a bridal shower for me. I don't like putting "Monetary gifts only" on bridal shower invites (although I have been to many where that is specifically written in the invitations), because it is rude and not right (in my opinion), so bridal registries are the way to go! Williams Sanoma is quite expensive  , but I am open to more suggestions!

Amy&Aldo - You are classed as an September Filer as that is the date it was recieved by USCIS, and i will be processed with September cases (unless USCIS has a backflip and randomly draws your case like it seems to do sometimes) however we might forgive you for hiding in our super cool, ready to be processed, August filers thread.

Chris went to his appointment

So apparently our case has been held up at USCIS and passed off too the defense service. Turns out his secruity clearance is causing problems with the system.

He forgot to ask for our NOA1

We have no number and a delayed case, so who knows when I'll actually get to go home.

/cry

Yeah, my notice says the date they received it was the 30th so get to enjoy both threads although I spend much, much more time in the July threads. :) It's getting a little lonely in there, though, since most of the people have their NOA2s and are talking about the NVC and scheduling their medicals while we're still twiddling our thumbs. So I've come to hang out with you fine folks.

No complaints here, though, because it means we're all next! Yaaay!

What kind of date do you guys all have in mind for your wedding? I was originally hoping Sebastian would be here in the beginning of March, but that might be stretching it. If we get an approval in the next week it might be possible, but now we're starting to think it might be April. Does that sound about right to you?

lol, that is what scares me, all of you will have your NOA2s and I will be the last one left here.... very few people have a later august date then mine, but, I will still be cheering you guys on! On a brighter note, I couldnt take it n e more, I hadnt seen my SO since August, so I put in a week of leave for middle of January at work and it got approved yesterday, I book my tickets for India tomm, granted, I am only going for a week, but I feel so alive and rejuvinated at just the thought of seeing her! Hoping that we will get our NOA2 before I leave on January 14th, just so we have something cool to celebrate while I am there.

Lately, I check Igor, on average, 3-5 times a day, hoping I will see that first August filer approved, but it messes with your mind and tortures you because you will see a July 25th, followed by a July 15th, and even something like a June 28th approval! I hope I see one in the next couple of days, or I think I will lose my mind haha.

NOA2: January 26, 2009,
