August 2008 Filers

CSC is up to 12 now... it's at least a mediocre week so far for CSC, and a slow week for VSC... so far, lately it seems more approvals happen the week after (I guess since the online reporting is fairly unreliable these days most people find out a week later when they get the hard copy). I'm sure by the end of the weekend VSC will be in double digits as well... I think CSC could hit 20 but probably not until next week is half over...

CSC hasn't approved anyone else with a close to august date yet... they were just teasting us with the petition on jul 27 and noa1 on jul 29 approval to get our hopes up! But at least they cleared out some of the july riff raff (and a few even older than that).

Nope, no August filers yet with NOA2...but seems like approvals are catching up slowly but surely!

Hopefully next week will be much, much, much more promising!

Visa Journey completed, but we are still here to provide support! :)

Fred has his 89 this morning... but more important, I'm sitting at 129, which is far enough up the list it's actually worth watching my own number more now haha. CSC has officially reached decent week status... VSC... not so much (still likey to see many more approvals for this week though). One nice thing that I've noticed is now that we're actually close to our dates... not so much backwards movement on igors (new people joining are rarely ahead of us now... none of that stuff ever really mattered in terms of how long it takes to process but I still prefer a countdown that always counts down!)

So I have lurked around this thread for a while, have posted in the CSC Aug thread but it seems to be pretty dead now. I am at 78 on Igors!!! Have had huge jumps in the last couple weeks and it has me excited. Our time is coming soon, I can feel it. I am still hoping for the old time-line estimate as apposed to the new one which says I won't be approved until late Jan-Feb. Still have my fingers crossed for a Christmas present from USCIS.

CSC has officially reached decent week status...

I never thought I would say this, but Maliciant, your way too kind :P . 15 and your ready to say decent week? Really? they had 32 the week of 12/3/07, which is DECENT, considering they have weeks over 50. So if your 129 and they keep up with "decent" weeks, you need 8.6 weeks to get your NOA2. How does Middle of February Sound?

I am kind of hoping at least they keep up with a month - meaning for every month that passes, they finish a month of approvals. Seems to make sense or they would be rapidly increasing every month. So, July Started in November, should finish in December, August should start in December, finish in January, and MOST IMPORTANTLY (haha), September should start in January. And just because we are such a quiet group, not a whole lot of complaining, talking, really anything, they should process all of us in a week or two.

But if I am right - at least partially rigtht, we need a heck of a lot more than 15 - Sorry, not a decent week. :(

So . . . . :reading:

A couple of things... it takes about 60 - 80 approvals a month to keep up with the number of petitions, so 16 is decent by that measure, and decent is not a word for the best week ever, it's not even 'good', it's just what needs to happen to get by. I think CSC will get to over 20 for this week. When you look at last years stats you also have to consider that there are approvals showing up a month after the week is over on a regular basis too. It's a decent week for CSC so far, I expect it to meet my criteria for a good week once the approvals are done, but it is al a matter of perspective. There are a few weeks showing 25 approvals that are fairly recent.. they did not show anything close to that during the week while it was the current week... at least half happened after the week was over.
