I think we need to find Fred's Emilia and pay her to get Fred really drunk, because I have a sneaky suspicion that we need to get Fred really drunk before we'll get down to the really em-bare-assing footage of the freak dance.

Maliciant,

It appears those complainers took my advice!

~~~~~~~~~~
Release Date: December 2, 2008
For Immediate Release
Office of the Press Secretary
Contact: 202-282-8010
Today is Jock Scharfen’s last day as Acting Director for the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services. Jock has demonstrated remarkable dedication to this department during his tenure as Acting Director and as Deputy Director, and has helped guide the agency’s transformation into a 21st century service-driven organization.
Jock has made lasting contributions to homeland security, including processing a record number of naturalization petitions, effectively eliminating the FBI name check backlog, and welcoming thousands of Iraqi refugees that supported the U.S. overseas.
I am grateful for Jock’s service to our nation during his tenure at the department as well as his distinguished 25-year career as a U.S. Marine. On behalf of the department, I thank him for his many contributions to improving the services we provide legal immigrants and in naturalizing thousands of new U.S. citizens
~~~~~~~~~~

I wonder who his replacement will be?

Ok, you may call me crazy :wacko: or even ridiculous :blink: , but I have calculated the average wait time for myself based on the following data:

Population: UK filers (from CSC) that have filed I-129F within the last year and received their NOA2

Sample: All UK filers (from CSC) that have filed I-129F in the last year and have received their NOA2 and

are members of VJ

x= wait time for each individual UK filer; n= total # of UK filers

average= sum of all x/ n

And so there I have it, the average wait time for UK filers within the last year is about 136 days

Note: This statistic is irrelevant of whether RFE's were sent or not, so may not be 100% accurate, but is the best number that I can come up with to decide when I should be expecting my NOA2 and when I should start to panic.

And of course, another factor that would tell me when to expect my NOA2 is naturally the time that Aug 08 filers from CSC will start getting their NOA2's.

I know I have a lot of time on my hands... :bonk::whistle:

But I do whatever I can to make everything positive...and this, believe it or not, makes me feel better.

Oh and just wanted to add, in case anyone was wondering why I have 36 days on my count down when the average is 136 and I am already past 107...the reason is I added some days for the days-off that USCIS will have for the holidays.

Well I am happy that someone else has found comfort in my crazy statistical observation :blush:

I think it is the lone cypress tree at pebble beach in the avatar, I chose it from the ones available here on VJ, although it was not titled, I believe that you are correct. :thumbs:

Since you have time on your hands, maybe you can factor in holiday seasons, the days of the week the holidays fall on, weather conditions in California that could affect the ONE GUY that actually works there (cant be more than one, too slow to have a big group), The potential effect of "Jock" leaving the directors seat in Washington, the economic depression [yeah, it is economic and mental] we are in (maybe job security for them if they take their time)

Have FUN!!!!!! :bonk:

No, I think I'm content with what I have done...someone else can have the honor of going totally berserk with these details. I just wanted to figure out when I should start getting hopes up/down, because CSC is really disappointing this week.

You wanna start getting your hopes down you mentioned? why do you wanna do that? Be positive, optimistic. The USCIS wait is grueling and cruel, you need to be strong for yourself and your SO, I know that can be hard at times but hey you just have to or the painful truth is that you won't make it, you'll loose your mind and yourself. Sorry if I am being harsh but that is fact, I just want you to be strong.

Thanks! By hopes down I meant "face the reality that CSC is lagging soooooooo far behind" but i am optimistic that I will get my NOA2 in 36 days, hence the count down in my sig...

Let's hope that we all start getting them soon!

Yes, we all need to be strong for our SOs, we are in this together :yes:

On a positive note...I was sending out a few emails to close friends and family tonight asking them to write a letter for us to put in the "Interview Portfolio" as I refer to it and I got to thinking about what an AWESOME scrapbook we will all have, that other "normal" couples don't have when this is over.

How many others have the letters, the emails, the piks, the letters from friends and family, etc?????

I'm actually going to start printing off the emails I have saved (about 800 from him and about 1000 to him) on three hole paper and put them in a binder. It reads like a diary of our lives the past couple of years. (L)
