Harsh: It depends on the country, I know for example the philippines it takes a few months to get a visitor visa (this is the first problem, it's almost as slow as getting the k-1!) and it's next to impossible for most people to get the visa (a fairly famous female singer who had tour dates in the US failed to get approval, or possibly just some of her necessary roadies were denied, I'm not sure now). You'll probably have to check the regional forums to get a better answer for you, but there is a good chance at this point the time it takes to get the visitor visa would make it a wasted effort.

CSC are further down the list than VSC primarily because of the difference in timeline cutoff... we're at 6 months still... also even when both were showing a 6 month time frame I noticed that there was a lot more people from july and june etc that were waiting on approval, I blame it on the erratic way that VSC handles petitions (compared to CSC they jump around date wise a LOT).

Well, this is the thing, in India, the whole Visa application process has become privatized, so its very easy to get one, especially if you have money lol, they can get a visa within a few days at the most, my biggest concern is getting entry into the US and not being turned away. Also, not having ANY problems or unnecessary delays in the K1 process.

Yeah, that might be different, it'd seem like that would increase the scrutiny some at actual entry since getting the visa itself is probably not much of a challenge... definitely check with the regional forums to know more info. The recent terrorist attacks might even add extra scrutiney too, good luck if you try it, there is always at least a little involved when visitting america.

Entering america with a visitors visa should be called American Roulette...

I'm leaning towards the darkest gift of them all... NOTHING! That or a NOA2, I'm still undecided...

I'm giving out a lot of less tanginble gifts this year... like I am getting my nieces and nephews a family gift this year, they are getting a new aunt, but it'll be a late christmas gift... my brother is getting... the joy of me bringing a beautiful woman to his house instead of just me showing up haha. Recording a video greeting is always nice, and enough people have cell phones with the ability to record video that it shouldn't be too hard to do, it's cheap, it's personalized, and you don't have to pay UPS, FedEx, DHL, etc a pile of money to send it.

These are a neat and fairly cheap gift. I bought one of these for the office gift exchange off overstock, it's basically an MP3 player, flash drive, AM/FM tuner, and can be used to record voice/etc (has a built in mic), it's a good general purpose neutral gift, it's not male or female oreinted, everyone likes music to some degree and as an added bonus, the voice recording feature makes it useful from a business perspective (well, and the fact it's a flash drive so you can use it to backup important docs too, not just for storing music).

I sent him a Santa's hat and a greeting card with a pic of our baby and me, it came out really nice and I wrote a beautiful message for him.

My parents asked me what I wanted for Christmas, I told them just give me cash, hahaha, even it it's $20 in ones I COULD USE it for my trip! hahahaha!

But if anyone should really ask what I want (Bside that NOA2) I want a Jabbawockeez T-Shirt.

For some who don't know, The Jabbawockeez are the winners of Americas Best Dance Crew for the first season on MTV. Most of them are Filipino's.
