I-130 for Parents (Mom and Dad)

3.15.2014: Mailed I-130 Packet for Mom and Dad

3.21.2014: Received email notification with case # for both petitions; case forwarded to NBC for processing

3.21.2014: Check cashed

3.22.2014: Hard copy NOA1 received

4.08.2014: Both I-130 approved (notification received via email) - It only took three weeks!!!

4.11.2014: Received NOA2 approval notice in the mail.

5.01.2014: Called NVC to ask for status of paperwork. Advised they received both application on 4.28. Advised to call in 30 business days for an update.

6.02.2014: Email notification received from NVC that shows parents' NVC case number and instructions to pay AOS Fee and fill out DS 261.

6.03.2014: Paid AOS fee ($88 for both petitions)

4.26.2013: Mailed N400 Packet

5.21.2013: Biometrics

7.18.2013: Testing and Interview

9.25.2013: Oath Ceremony

04-25-2007 Admitted that we had feelings for each other started talking on skype everyday!

10-12-2007 Met in US in person for the first time, love at first sight lol, 2 perfect months together.

07-02-2009 Lawyer submitted our suit to court

07-17-2009 Court day 2: Success, must respond by 21st August. - No result ever came from this.

10/06/2009 Withdrew K1 petition

10/10/2009 Married

10/24/2009 CR1 packet completed and posted

10/26/2009 Packet arrived at Chicago - And Submitted our Aussie application

11/04/2009 Application of CR1 returned - was rejected because of a "blurry zip code" we didn't bother to re-apply given that Chris had lost his job

04/05/2010 Australian application still pending

September 2010 - Chris arrived in Australia on Temporary Visa.

10/10/2011 - 2 year wedding anniversary - Chris to be granted Australian Permanent Residency

Summer 2012 - Planned immigration to USA.

*We have visited each other 8 times since 2007*

APR 10 2009....Our Glorious Wedding (Good Friday, How cool uh?)

fyi... I made this post invisible as per requests from other members who found it offensive.

Assassins took out your king, for making a post so offensive, other members requested it removed, it's implied multiple complaints about it were sent, I mean I certainly HOPE it took more than one complaint to have that post sent to the lonely lonely void of comedy that was possibly over the line... I suspect that my post offended a real king who would never have made such a request, or possibly someone read it and thought OH NO, now I will have to comply with the request because it's apparently from a real king, this has to be stopped! But in the end, our august thread is now a sad sad thread, but, through the process I like to call totally fair royal ascension, Dani^Chris Perry is your new king, because you know, they posted after me.

Anyway, I know what not to ask for next time I'm king of the page, but now I'm feeling challenged to come up with something that a reasonable person might find offensive, but the kind of thing that is unlikely to be reported for being offensive... I have an idea or two but I don't want to cross the line in the post explaining what happened to my previous post and have it dissappear too.

Yupi I'm Queen of the page again so I declare that we should stop complaining and keep talking about our SOs.

So my question now is WHAT'S YOUR SO'S FAVORITE COLOR?

His is Black and white because he loooooves soccer and that's his team's (Colo-Colo) colors.

Mine is pink! :P

My SOs favorite color is purple! .... I like it too, but my favorite is green:)

Yes...probably, but I am really wishing (i know its wishful thinking...) that it has something to do with our files assigned to adjudicators so they can begin handing out August NOA2s for us all.

I hope you're right Marm...I'm only about 2 weeks behind you and it would be FABULOUS to get an NOA2 before Christmas!! I would even settle for just a touch... :yes:

I find it extremely offensive that it takes CSC and VSC so long to approve our visa applications!

I hope I am right too. But because of that one RFE someone got a couple of days ago, our timelines have gone haywire and my estimated approval date is now: Feb. 1- Feb. 25, 2009. It was Jan. 1- Jan 11, 2009.

And I am ignoring this new estimate, because I don't understand how all of a sudden the estimate date can become so prolonged when the CSC processing times have not changed and when VSC is approving August filers, and CSC is approving end of July (come on CSC, a little faster!!!)

I find the processing times offensive too, please make them go away!

MARM: The RFE thing is just a guess about why it went so haywire... it's probably not the reason... but either way I agree, ignore the new estimates, if for no other reason than they went from targetting about a week long period to a month period... might as well say your estimated NOA2 date is "in the future".

I cooked Adobong Manok today, like everything I cook, I made lots, I'll be eating it all week... no picture this time, just drool over the picture in the link, because that picture looks incredibly delicious... what I got looked a lot like... chicken soup, it's still pretty good tasting, but I definitely failed to do something right haha.... I need some expert filipino guidance the next time I try to cook it (and it probably wouldn't hurt if I had some prepared right to try to see if it even tastes like it should haha).
