August 2008 Filers

tpal - you need to get your timeline updated, if you haven't done so yet, so we can see some more updates on Igor's list. Wow!!! This is amazing.

Maliciant - you're right. August filers are the loudest and the closest of all groups and now I am wondering myself how louder we can get when the NOA2 start raining in on us. :D

Sisters - Being happy for our friends and feeling miserable at the same time is human nature. I mean, who would be human enough not to feel like how we are feeling if put in a situation like ours? Oh well, let's turn this to something useful. I uploaded some new pics on Facebook and yesterday's wedding was the first dry run on doing my makeup myself. What do you think? We will be playing on a budget this June so no hiring of makeup artists. :)

Queen of page 116. I declare that all August Filers keep hanging in there, be proud and be strong for our SOs and never give up! Our turn is coming!

This thread has gone apeshit in terms of posts... course that's bound to happen any time someone posts some congrats worthy news (even if they look suspiciously like july filers, regardless of the NOA1 date hehe). VSC does seem to be only 2 or 3 weeks out from working on a 100% august filer (sent petition in august vs the middle of july and USCIS just got around to giving them a NOA1 in august...), CSC.... I'm not sure where they are at but hehe, it seems like a lot further out than VSC anyway. But anyway, action is action and looks like there has finally been a little on igor's (mostly for last week of course).

It's one thing to swear off checking the USCIS site (until dec 7!) but you can't just leave us, at least not without a good reason. That and I still haven't talked you into giving me your plane tickets yet...

Thank you my dear friends for your support, i do realize the next holidays we'll be together with Chris, but just as he said America was created from emigrants and it is just not fair for us to be treated this way and wait so long...i'm even not able to go there with a tourist visa, they would never let me...

Oh well, coming here helps somehow to get thru this, Thank you again :)

Congratz once again for the approval :) we will have such news more and more

Have a nice day all.....

My lawyer submitted my packet, so my send-in date is a "best guess"....it could've been later but I'm not quite sure.

For what it's worth, I've been my case status checking online and as recent as yesterday its been saying that my case is still pending - a week after the NOA2 was dated. So it's not been updating in a timely manner.

Oops...well....am I in the wrong forum? I've been following this thread since September or so....so I feel more at home here even though I mailed in my packet in July.

Still, it was late July and an August NOA2, and I see more and more of those in IGOR, so everyone here can start to be cautiously optimistic...

I'm just nitpickin the dates in terms of how meaningful they are to when I'll get my own NOA2, if you consider yourself an august filer that's good enough, and even if you don't, it's still not a big deal either way, it's a forum after all, and at least some of us are busier goofing off passing the time instead of being too serious about the whole thing (at least, not being too serious all the time).
