Wow apparently us August filers cause quite the stir, we have september and October filers invading now

hehe

I have my dress fitting this afternoon at 2, very exciting, I am checking for charge in my camera and will be taking it along for some pics

Hopefully it will be all good and no horror stories

And the big moment!!!!!

Went to my dress fitter this afternoon and she has done a spectacular job!!!

Fitted prefectly, she just has to finish off the beading on the back, and put on the straps (which she was waiting till today to measure).

She also had a look at my veil ( I am wearing the one my mum wore at her wedding 28 years ago) and said she would attach a comb to hold it in my hair, and put some of the beading in the little flowers that she would do it for free! I have an awesome dress maker!!!

Anyhow there are 3 piccies, one of the front, one of the back and of the train.

What do you think girls? (and those guys feeling feminane to comment today )

September are just watching us for the same reason we spy on july... cause the more NOA2's they get, the sooner it's our turn, and currenty there are 3 july filers with august noa1's who have received a noa2, seems like with VSC any august filer could possibly get approved, though I think it'll go roughly order received so even though they are august noa1's the sent date's are still well within july... but it's still neat to see sorta august filer approvals. I'm surprised that CSC didn't pick up any NOA2's friday evening on... it's not uncommon to get 50% more approvals friday night, and with such a slow week last week doubling seemed likely... no such luck (so far), VSC has crept up to match the dismal 6 approvals last week, no tellin what next week will be like since we know we have a major US holiday in the middle of it.

Got off on a rant there, but anyway, I'm going to attempt my first home made filipino dish tomorrow, pansit, I'm sure it'll be edible but it may take me a few tries to perfect, but we'll see what happens.

I called the german doctor who works for the embassy in frankfurt and he told me, that every women under 27 needs the vaccination for hpv! and if you had the chickenpox you don't need the vaccination anymore!

Good luck, let us know how it comes out. I tried cooking adobo (I highly reccommend - easy too). My fiancee gave me the recipe - sort of. Her recipe was something like you take some meat, a little oil to cook it in, add some onion, then soy, vinegar, and sugar. oh yeah, lots of garlic.

Of course I had lots of questions:

What kind of meat? How much meat? How much onion? How much of each ingrediant? She told me depends on how much I wanted to make - not exactly useful informaiton.

anyway, I tried it & it was great. I had no idea if I did it right or not, so last time I saw her, I cooked it for her. One of our friends (Filipina) came over for dinner, but she didnt know what I was cooking. After I finished and she was eating it, she said, WOW, this is really good, WHAT is it? So now I call my dish "Apparently not adobo".

I tried to get my fiancee to make real adobo for me, but she tells me mine is better, so we always have it instead. I guess I probably still have never had adobo.
