Isn't california pretty much always on fire? I don't think it even makes the news much anymore, unless some totally sweet homes owned by famous people are in danger of getting toasted... but either way unless the smoke is to a point where people can't work period, I don't think it'll affect anything.

That said... I'm fiending for some NOA2's, I need my fix... and so far this week I ain't gettin it, I know they've had a lot of computer problems lately... now that july is getting approvals on a regular basis I can't help but lurk their thread... some of them are gettin ravenous... just wait to see how psycho watching the lists I go once august starts processing...

I'm really starting to look forward to that next trip, I don't know when it is yet but I'm pretty sure I'll find out in the next 6 weeks... of course I've been looking forward to the next trip ever since the last one ended, but now it's getting close enough that it's "real", it's not just some nice thing that'll happen some day... it's something that'll happen soon (of course a visit to the philippines is probably the least significant thing that will happen since it'll be interview time and hopefully moving to america and all that fun stuff).

The weeks ARE flying by lately though, I was reading some chat logs with my fiancee from six months ago and was a little surprised as a lot of it seemed like it was much more recent, like something I had just said in the last month.

While at work i decided to check to see if i can see my case status. The site has not been working for me when I check at home.

This is the message i get now when i checked.

This made me laugh.

"It was reported to us that your IP address or internet gateway has been locked out for a select period of time. This is due to an unusually high rate of use. In order to avoid this issue, please create a Customer account (single applicant) or a Representative account (representing many individuals). "

I have a customer account but i did try the right click and open because the left click does not open when you try the hypelink for your case number.

So, now you cant call anyone because you cant get through and when you do they tell you nothing.....and now their primitive online reporting system does not even work.....

Seriously....what was the increase in fees for?

I am new here and also an August K-1 filer trying to figure out what VSC is up to. Have they lost documents of anyone else on here?

Welcome to VJ (and the august filers thread)... I see from your timeline they lost your NOA1, but not the actual petition. I have read a few other posts of people where a NOA2 hadn't been received, and we have one person who filed in august who hasn't received a NOA1 yet (and also couldn't get the number off the back of the check to check their online status), so yeah, it definitely happens, hopefully you have copies of everything you sent so you can double check your address information to make sure it's not a problem in your paperwork, beyond that I don't really know what to do.

I'm feeling lucky to not be a VSC filer for a change, but despite the slow couple of weeks and the change to the processing date back to a real date, I think VSC is still about a week ahead of CSC in terms of approval dates, it's depressing to watch but I bet this slump doesn't last.

Thanks, I feel better knowing it is not just us.

This was my first time tonight attempting to check.

I check it once a night at work, so maybe its a monthly tally??

or my fiancee is checking it more times than i realize??? Dani???

I dont know or maybe its just their computer system on the brink of death....
