First you made me cry with the story, then Gemmie's reply was funny. Don't worry you CANNOT die yet you have to receive your NOA2 LOL

Sweet story.. I gave Bill 'a box of hugs' for his birthday and filled it with red tissue, just like that!! I hope I'm not about to die. :P

But I also put a little book, a cuddly toy and some British chocolate inside..

Are you refering to package 3?

I only have so far what I sent as first proof of relationship plus I asked my company how to get a letter stating how much I make and dates of employment, the HR girl (very nice) told me I have to fill a form. I'm not doing anything else until I get the famous NOA2. What I don't know is if I have to attach my birth certificate and my last 3 income taxes?

REMEMBER SOME PAPERWORK HAS TO BE RECENT!

ALSO I FOUND THIS IF IT HELPS YOU:

seriously, skip the pictures of you visiting historic/scenic locations together, and spend some time with her family. pictures of you with her mother in their home are gold, but whether she really knows who you are, in detail, is much more important. you are in control of this stuff.

she should know your birthday, family structure, and occupation in detail, have pictures of your house inside and out, copies of 3-4 recent bank statements, your last year's tax filing, your army discharge papers, a recent newspaper from your hometown, whatever, and be able to talk about it all in some detail. if you are there in the waiting room, she should be holding your passport conspicuously on the top of her docs pile under her left hand, on which is an engagement ring (buy this in america - too many fakes in china).

a common language is also a high priority in this consulate. if your GF is fluent english, have her introduce herself to the VO and indicate that she is fluent english, and offer to conduct the interview in english. if not, you may be in trouble. candle for love reports this as a significant issue. a plan for her employment in the US is very important, as is her general knowledge of american culture.

I bet that child met with an accident... anyone who screws up presents that bad is bound to meet with an "accident" in america... we're capitalists, we take christmas serious!

No phone bills or anything in that list? There isn't an overwhelming truckload of evidence to gather for me, I have a letter or two, a few receipts, ridiculous piles of IM chats, some skype calls, but most of that stuff can wait to be printed (if it's printed at all) for when an interview date is set. My fiancee has various bits of evidence as well, but not huge amounts, possibly the most important piece of evidence she can present a the interview will be me, though I don't really expect to be allowed into the room or area of the interview based on some of what I read... I do expect them to know I'm there (and I will ask to be let in with her for the actual interview, it is after all a hugely important decision about my life being made there!!).

If you are asking if fred is referring to package 3, there is no package 3 in the philippines (I'm not sure why but that's what I've read)

this is my dress, i am safe cos David doesnt come to the site, what ya think girls?????

Nice dress!!

Promise there will be pics (mainly because I know Chris wont see them on here hehe)

I am thinking I will have my fitting on Sunday :) So pics wont be too far away.

I got my dress organised early in a hopes that my NOA wouldnt be too far away. In saying this the back is lace up (incase I lose weight, which i have lost 3 kgs since I first brought it) and if i lose weight most of it will be from my legs and butt so I should be safe :) Plus it gives me an excuse to try it on once a month lol.

 how exciting though..

Dresses?? Exciting.. Bill's mum still wants me to pick something out on Dave's Bridal that I like, and then go try them on together. But seeing as the "real wedding" might be a year away, I might hold off on it for a while.

Beautiful dress, Donna!

Mara, I also get the comments about "aren't you young to be married?" and that does irritate me if they know nothing about me. My mum was married at 17 so to me, 22 is not too young... plus it's not just about the age, it's about experience and maturity.. compatability, etc..

Page 100, wow! I remember when I joined the first page!

 Most definitely true!
