Last night I called my mom practically hysterical. I am getting the pre wedding jitters. It's not that I'm second guessing myself or anything. I'm just .... scared about all of the changes that will be happening soon. My whole life will change!

I want people to write down lists about the perks and great changes after marriage. It will help me and inshaallah it will help everyone else :)

It's really nice to come home to someone - I lived alone for 5 yrs before

This of course causes it's own problems: I was not used to being held accountable for anything I chose to do, except to myself of course. If I wanted to leave the dishes until the next day I could and there wouldn't be anyone to comment. If I wanted to eat icecream and watch a chick-flick I did it without a second thought. ect.....

But in reality, one of the best changes was having a partner in everything and someone to share my worries with. He couldn't do anything to help me when he was so far away, but here next to me he can.

We are both stuburn and opinionated and there were some adjustments, but they were all worth it.... even though he's been gone all summer I still miss him like crazy and I can't wait for my life to get back to normal and happy - which is what it is with him here. It's so different to have had him here and then gone. All of the hard parts of adjusting to eachother, I realized he was worth it and I miss him sooo much more than I thought I would. I think I actually miss him more than when we apart for 2 years - I had my own life then, now he is such a large part of it it's not complete without him here :luv:

Sorry for the mushy ramble

Perks when we don't have the kids:

Someone to cook for that appreciates things a little more risky than fish sticks and french fries.

Someone to watch scarey movies with.

Someone to watch the beach with.

Someone to roam Boston with on the weekends.

Someone to XXXX with.

Perks when we do have the kids:

Watching them jump on the bed trying to wake him up - hysterical!!!

Watching him ask if anyone has any "azzes" (aces) or "sexes" (sixes) when we're playing Go Fish and seeing the girls gigle hysterically and ask him to say it again.

Seeing the glimmer of joy back in the kids' eyes as they pillow fight with him.

There's more but I need more coffee! You'll be fine!!!!

Coming home to him.

Waking up next to him.

Cleaning house, washing dishes together.

Teaching each other to cook new things.

Seeing the world through my best friend's eyes.

Watching him become a son to my parents.

Having someone to lift the heavy boxes for me. :D

The impromptu looks and hand-holding.

Having someone with me whose sense of direction is SO much better than mine.

Planning the future together.

Trying new things I wouldn't have thought to try alone.

Sharing unconditional love, support, encouragement.

Knowing he will always speak the truth in love, even if it's something I don't want to hear.

Watching him care for the cats.

Seeing him tackle new problems and challenges with optimism while encouraging me to do the same.

The constant sense of mutual respect.

I'm the USC.
