We don't use thr webcam that often... depending on the last time I saw him, it sometimes makes me feel MORE upset as I just pine to be right there with him moreso when it's visual.

We talk on the phone everyday for hours and on MSN... occasionally we'll use the webcam when we play games together as it's nice to see each other reacting and laughing etc. :)

We usually do use webcam almost every day. My husband sometimes keeps his cam on when he goes to bed and I can watch him sleep anytime I wish for, sometimes I access his cam from my work just to catch a glimpse of him sleeping peacefully, its a nice feeling :P

Before hubby came here, we would keep the webcams on from the time I got home from work, we slept with them on. We used to watch each other sleep, it really helped us with our, lonliness and sadness. Thank God for technology.

Yes and even harder when you already have your husband with you in USA for 3 years now and he has to suddenly leave to go back to his country to take care of his ill mother for a few months! It feels just like being in the K-1 visa waiting process all over again!!! :clock:

I know it's temporary until he can get someone to take of her, but the waiting it's just as hard as it is for everyone is also waiting here to start their lives with their loved ones too.

But I am glad to be here in the company of everyone on VJ going through the same thing and wishing everyone a speedy process and happy reunion!

But as Yiyi also said, I would also die if we didn't have the webcam, the internet and the phone!

Thanks Ms. S and Yiyi for your kind thoughts.

My sweet mother in law is in her 70's, has diabetes and living all alone in Turkey, all this has been so hard on my husband!

Not too many people understand that in Turkish culture the elderlies don't really live alone but with family close to them, so it has been hard to get anyone to take care of her while he is living in the US. He first left her in the care of someone there, but that didn't last for too long. Right now his brother is there now and hopefully will find a job so he can stay and care for her. So until my husband can feel secure that she will be taken care of then he will come home soon.

We barely use the internet now so we hardly use the webcam. In the first few years we used webcam and chat a lot. It was fun but he would get greedy always wanting to see me but didn't want me to see him. He's that way with pictures now too.

I voted none because we just used a webcam once in a awhile. I never cared too much how I looked because my husband and I had lived together, so he saw me when I woke up in the morning...however, I did always try to look decent since we had to have an LD relationship for a bit.

Using webcam was wonderful, but it made me miss my baby more... :crying:
