Hi Everyone,

What an interesting poll, indeed.

My answer as to "how far I live from the place I spent the majority of my childhood" (oh about 15+ years or so, moving about 10+ times in between):

-250 miles (or about 500km), from Toronto, Canada to New York State, USA...

And yet, I can't believe I have to go through this painstaking, ever-so time consuming, expensive, chaotic, etc. process of immigration, just to move that short of a distance!!!

As to "how far I live from the place where I was born" (that's the next poll question, maybe?)

-1000+ miles. It's no wonder I haven't been back since.

I was born in Ontario, and I live in New Zealand. Once we have the visa I will actually be much closer to where I started.

11/2004 - Met in Brazil

09/2006 - Apply for K1

03/2007 - K1 approved

04/2007 - Apply for AOS & EAD

07/2007 - EAD approved

01/2008 - Conditional Residency approved

11/2009 - Apply to remove conditions

02/2010 - Permanent Residency approved

11/2010 - Apply for Citizenship

03/2011 - Citizenship approved

07/2011 - Moved back to Brazil
