Hey hey once again!!! SO THANKS TO THE ADVICE OF MY FELLOW VJs I ENCOURAGED MY FIANCE TO GO TO THE EMBASSY WITH THE NVC LETTER AND PETITION AND NOT WAIT AROUND FOR ANY PACKAGE TO COME IN THE MAIL. WELL, I AM HAPPY TO ANNOUCE THAT THEY ASSIGNED HIM DECEMBER 15, 2008 FOR HIS INTERVIEW DATE!!! PRAISE GOD! THANKS GUYS!!! HE AT FIRST WAS NOT HAPPY BECAUSE IT SEEMED SO FAR AWAY AND I LET HIM HE SHOULD BR GRATEFUL AND JUST BE PATIENT AND LET GOD! HOW MUCH TIME DO YOU GUYS THINK HE SHOULD ALLOW BEFORE HE TRAVELS TO BACK TO LAGOS TO DO HIS MEDICAL AND POLICE REPORTS AND ALL THAT JAZZ? WELL, ANYBODY ELSE SCHEDULED IN DECEMBER OR NOVEMBER??? THANKS GUYS FOR ALL YOUR HELP..DON'T KNW WHAT I WOULD DO WITHOUT YA!

P.S. AFTER MUCH HARRASMENT I DID MY TIMELINE AND ADDED PHOTOS OF HIM AND I IN MY PROFILE!! LMAO!

January 15, 2009--Apply for SSN Number

Jan. 23, 2009---Married

March 2 2008----Received SSN card

March 14, 2009---Got Driver's License

AOS TIMELINE

Mar. 30, 2009: AOS/EAD/AP filled

April 7, 2009 - EAD,AP and AOS NOA notice date

April 10, 2009 - received NOA1 hardcopy for EAD,AP and AOS

April 13, 2009- received Biometrics appt scheduled April 25, 2009

April 14, 2009-Biometrics walk-in done!

April 14, 2009-Called USCIS for AP to be expedited.

April 16, 2009-AP approved YES!!

April 24, 2009-EAD Card Received!!

A police report in Lagos recently took a friend a full month to obtain, after applying. The medical report took three weeks to get to the U.S. Consulate. Good luck.

You probably would get more input on Nigeria related issues, if you posted in the sub-Saharan forum. People there will better asist you, as Nigeria has a set of conditions that might not be applicable outside of West Africa. Another thing is they will support you throughout your journey; but, like siblings there will time to time be some small spats and misunderstandings, but we will always get through them. However, they will have your back even through the citizen ship process. For instance this post in the citizenship forum; you have not gotten to this point, your SO recently picked up his interview appointment. He needs to be approved arrive to US apply for AOS and then wait three years for this forum to become applicable.

I would advice not to double post but to post embassy specific questions in the applicable forum, they, we can better assist you through your journey, if we don't have to seek out your post (threads).

By the way good Luck on your interview, but again sub-Saharan can better assist Nigeria specific issues.
