okkkkk..so now the invoice shows paid on both the receipt page and main page ...avr still says missing docs,, maybe tomo it would change to IV fee bill received.

Oh wow that is wonderful, GREAT NEWS!!!!!!!! If I were you I'd send the DS230 today, overnight... you already lost some time... remeber to include the barcode sheet... They will probably change the status during the day (just like mine) don't waste another day, everything is clear now!!!

That's great news... So you are almost all set for the remaining process.... Did your wife had any problems later when she went to get PCC in ahmedabad ??

thanks bani...ya i cant wait to get over NVC...NVC is in my mind 24/7, she had no problem getting the PCC after we got our local pcc done(even though she didnt need it cuz her passport is only 3 months old)

Guys, I am in the same boat. I paid a day early.

- Paid the IV bill Dec 11, 2008

- AVR says "IV bill generated" Dec 12, 2008

- Online status "UNPAID" but receipts section shows "PAID" Dec 12, 2008

I have already mailed DS-230..

Should I pay again, or should I call NVC ??

I just don't want my DS-230 stuck..

the thing is do not hurry these steps, let each have a day or so to process DO NOT HURRY wont buy you that much time and saves alot of confusion, i paid online usually at night, the next day showed paid, sent papers (normal mail) 2 days delivery it was there on a monday complete on a friday, slow, easy, no confusion

I am totally freaking out. NVC Lady said they'll put DS-230 on hold until IV fee bill issue is resolved. they gave me 2-3 weeks to resolve this.

I'm really worried now. what should I do ?

I am having the same.... The fee showed up, we paid... everything ok, showed in process, the next day PAID, printed and sent DS-230...

the week after 4 or 5 days later, we check and it went back from PAID to UNPAID!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I totally freaked out.

We called, they said they will review in 2-3 weeks... whatever that means. Not sure if they tagged the case online or something..

The money was taken from the bank account and we printed the receipt from their website!! HOW COME they now say it is unpaid??

They also sent a check-list a couple of days ago... not sure if about this or something else...

I suggest everyone, do NOT rush it, wait for the mails, it will not be a big deal.

Not much worried about the extra $400 only.. more worried if this is going to slow down everything to more than a month and will miss next month's interview scheduling time...

Actually I checked again. In the first page where it says IV Application Processing Fees it shows $400 NOT PAID. If I press payment receipts, I can see it PAID....

but the first time we called the lady didn't know it was paid, although it was, so I guess there is some sort of mismatch..

Did you get a checklist letter saying they need DS-230 from you? Like you, I also sent in DS-230 same day but checklist letter was generated before they received DS-230.

Checklist could be a positive thing - since it doesn't say I'm missing IV Fee bill payment.

Keep in touch when you issue gets resolved.

We should get it early this week.. Not sure if my checklist is about the FEES only... I TRULY HOPE SO!!!

It seems in the past they resolved the fees issue in 3-4 days.. how come it is taking them so long this time?

We will try to call again this week. We have e-mailed them a letter and they acknowledged it...

Yeah, I talked to something like 15 different operators, All of them said 10-15 business days which was worrying. But again they always tend to overestimate response time.

I am guessing they're getting flood of these problem requests (because these days everyone tries to pay online). They seem to have manual review process for overriding paid status. so this would translate into longer time.

I'll post here once my issue clears up.

NVC Rep tells me on Dec. 19 - "the request was sent to proper department for review". whatever that means. But at least some progress!
