this is the craziest thing i ever seen...my IV fee bill was shown paid Friday, Sat, Sun, Mon (online system) and now i just logged in to print my BARcode sheet and it shows NOT PAID.... ...did i just loose $400 ? anyone had this problem please someone just tell me this is just NVC's computer error.

I dont know I just got entered into NVC process. I got my IIN but all operators I talked to were not willing to give me IIN saying online payment system is not working, you have to wait till you get AOS feel bill in mail.

You should contact NVC operator and tell them what's going on. If their site is not working they should just put page "not to be used" or something.

Did you pay the $400 before the AVR said it generated the IV Fee Bill Letter? If you did I think that when you do that, and then the IV Fee Bill is generated, it 'overwrites' your payment status to 'Not Paid'. Their computer systems then show the status as Not Paid as well. Even if you print and send the barcode letter, you will most likely get an RFE for the missing payment. Then will have to try to sort it out with NVC to get that status changed to PAID, and I beleive only the supervisors have that athority.

Remember, the payment processing facility is actually in St. Loius, MO and the document processing facility is in Portsmouth, NH. Given the realtive newness of the online system, it wouldn't surprise me that these two are seperate systems that are not fully connected and properly working.

At this point, I think that your best option would be work with the NVC operators to get that payment status worked out. You will have to send them proof of payment, receipt, and whatever else they need. I hope you get somebody nice, because I could see them getting a little angry.

If you do pay again, that will be the lesser delay as far as processing your case, but you will then be looking at trying to get a check for the extra payment. There was at least one recent VJ member who was able to do that. Good luck and I am really sorry to hear about this glitch in the system.

i paid it on 7/31...the online system showed that it was invoiced but the AVR didnt say anything about IV fee bill..next day 8/1 the AVR changed to IV fee bill generated and the online bill pay showed PAID

i just called NVC and talked to this real nice lady and she said she will have someone look into this she didnt get mad like the other old lady did..also quick question when i do get the IV fee bill hard copy in the mail can i just send receipt from the online bill pay and my bank statement to st.louis ??

Don't let them intimidate you. $400 is a lot of money. Even if it takes an extra week to sort out the payment, it is still much faster than waiting for the documents to arrive in the mail.

I hope you can get everything worked out. I am holding my breath as well, as I paid online recently.

I would wait for NVC to look into it, did they tell you the would contact you?

Let us know how it goes... ok....!!!! I have my own dilema i might have sent the wrong coversheet!!! You see we are so emotional about all this paperwork, trying to gain few hours, few day, even a few months so our case can be completed sooner that we make all this stupid mistakes... They really know how to play with us... now I am waiting for a RFE and you are probably waiting to get this mess clear up, instead of gaining more time now we are kind of stuck on the process!!!

the only reason why i was willing to pay again is because NVC has no sign of that payment....even though the money was taken out of my account and i have the receipt, i just dont want to get in any trouble for paying it online

i dont see a reason why u wud get into trouble for paying online...they have that system put in place for a reason...they cant reprimand u for a system of their that doesnt work...their fault not urs!! if u have the bar code with the status showing as paid dont make the mistake of paying again, they will eat ur money and wont return ur money back (if you r thinking u will get a refund after they set their records straight)...good luck!!

WELL THE PROBLEM IS THAT NVC N=KNOWS THAT THEY HAVE PROBLEM WITH THE SYSTEM AND THEY TELL ALL THE CUSTOMERS NOT TO PAY ONLINE...SO IT'S KIND OF OUR FOUL WHEN WE TAKE THE RISK TO PAY ONLINE

well a little update on my mess up. it shows the normal paid on all pages. called the avr and it says the bill was generated. im going to call tonight to make sure its ok. i hope yours get sorta out yoke, and hope mine is ok lol
