Gratz to receiving your NOA1 hardcopy in the mail!

I eagerly await ours in the mail.

I paid by money order so i need to wait for them to mail our NOA1 so I can register on the USCIS website.

I may go to the local post office this Friday and see if the money order was cashed.

I paid with a money order too that's why I couldn't find out what the receipt number was until I got the hard copy hehe. I should have used a personal check instead. I decided to use a money order because all of my checks still have my old address (mom's house) on them. I didn't want to give them any additional information to ponder about.

I hope you get yours soon!

Once your check is cashed you can usually get your EAC (vermont) or WAC (california) number off the back. Register with uscis.gov with that number and you can track your case. You have been touched when your 'last updated' date changes... like this.

This post by a former adjuticator explains 'touches' best. Basically they scan our petitions (or they're suppose to anyway ;) ) when the file is moved or opened or 'whatever'. Judging by the past year, this does not happen very much in California so don't get too nervous if you don't find that date changing. ;)

Nice to see you folks moving along! :)

Thank you very much for your info, it will be a great help.

Good luck to US.

I'm an august filer, though late august so I probably won't get the NAO1 until next month (my bank charges extra for check imaging and since I write about 12 checks a year I haven't had a use for it). In some ways time moves fast... and then you see a date and realize something that seems like ancient history... was just a week ago, or a month ago... I'm ridiculously patient, but this is the kind of thing that will definitely test that, but there is some relief in having the package in the mail.

Oh this statement is so true.

I am tested everyday!

I am rediculously patient for everything but one thing.

And that is being far away from the woman i love!

Congratz to you getting your package mailed and I wish you a speedy and error free Visa Journey.

I checked with the post office to see if the money order had been cashed and it was not. :(

I just want to know we are in the system and being processed.

I guess its still a bit early for cashing the money order.

I will try next week again with the post office.

Hey dani&chris I think it's too early for that yet, just wait a few more days :) Our package was received on August 1st, and our check cashed 7 days later. AND on top of that, they said when we checked online that our package was only received on August 12th. So I'd give it a week.
