Our NOA1 arrived in the mail today!!! 17 days after our package arrived at the CSC

So bummed, hope my incompetent mail people around here didn't send it to another house.

Jaqi and Brian - Aug 08 K1 application

We sent all of our documents to our lawyer on Aug 8, 2008. Frustration set in when his assistant sent an email requesting "missing" items. There were no "missing" items and the problem was straightened out with a phone call. Poor communication within the firm. Just one obstacle in our path, I'm certain.

The lawyer said he has now filed everything and we are waiting on our receipt confirming it is filed. But at least now the process is underway. We wake up each day thinking "We are one day closer to being together", so we were very eager to get the ball rolling. And we pray everyday the K1 process will be smooth and timely. Wish us luck.

If you have any advise as to what we should anticipate at this point we would be very grateful. We will keep you posted and along the way if we can ever answer questions feel free to ask.

Thanks for the congrats my friends.

I have to say, I'm glad I followed the advice of the individuals on this ste vs using a lawyer. I'm reading more and more posts about people have issues with their lawyers and I find that disappointing and alarming. I'm sorry for those having trouble after spending money and entrusting a "professional" to be professional and focused when helping with such an important life situation.

After CSC received our I-129F, we view it as a "countdown" for when we will be together.

Each day brings us nearer.

Enough of my whining, my Atty says that our government is having a bit of trouble making sure that both the Atty AND Client receive the Notice. I'll get a copy of it from him.

At least they got it and I can meaningfully stalk the internet site in a productive manner....

Mady_dam NOA1 is the Notice Of Action you will receive first from USCIS, it's just a receipt, to let you know that they received your petition and it's in process, and NOA2 will be the Approval notice / their decision, Touch is every time your petition is been update, u can only know by registering ur case on their website to get an Email update, each update is a Touch on ur case, welcome and Happy waiting, good luck to all of us.
