Well we were touched today. No change in status though. I dont know what is the method to the madness at CSC. But i think we have not considered the idea that its possible that when these files go into CSC that they are not necessarily sitting in one orderly pile by date. They could be separated by region. Or they could be separated by last name. But here is my last theory and some may not like it. I think what they do is once they approach a new month, they skim through all of them and try to find the ones that may need a semi-emergency need for their files to be reviewed soon. And that means bouncing around from file to file to read the affidavits and get a sense on what their needs are. Their may be alot of people who are pregnant or trying to coordinate other cases with other family members. Once they get the ones that have a lil higher priority to get done immediately, then they go back and go in order from Aug 1 etc....

I think it's more likely they look for the easy ones in the stack... First world english speaking countries, well written, lots of clear info, no previous marriages or children, etc.

We were #145 on Igor's list and we got our NOA2 email today... but my fiance's from Ireland and I used VJ's help to make up the packet, and no marriages or children, so I figure ours looked easy to approve.

This way they can approve more in the same timespan, as opposed to spending loads of time on a complicated case and letting the others sit. They're trying to get their numbers up.

That's my guess anyway.

It'd take an extreme amount of time to go through the petitions looking for easy ones to deal with, I doubt they do that as it'd take a lot of extra effort.

As for no kids and no marriages, that may actually be slower... if there is a marriage, there is a record of it... if there isn't a marriage there is no record of it... and not finding the record may require them to look harder for it instead of assuming that's the case... either way, it's all speculation... I'm also no kids, no marriages for me or my fiancee... and hoping for a NOA2 soon!

OMG! I got touches again!! they updated my case last dec.17 and dec18... I'm extremely happy!!!... hoping that we got pur approval soon.. yehey!!

You know, I read the in the FAQ the notes from the guy that worked in the NSC, sounds to me like they would actually do the easy ones first sometimes.
