Hi Angel

Do you think they need that much stuff...I too was about to send a lot, but when I reread the directions they asked for just 4 things

If you are applying for naturalization based on your marriage to a U.S. citizen, send the following four items:

1. Evidence that your spouse has been a U.S. citizen for the last three years:

Birth certificate (if your spouse never lost citizenship since birth), or

Naturalization Certificate, or

Certificate of Citizenship, or

The inside of the front cover and signature page of your spouse's current U.S. passport, or

Form FS-240, "Report of Birth Abroad of a Citizen of the United States of America," and

2 Your current marriage certificate, and

3.Proof of termination of all prior marriages of your spouse - divorce decree(s), annulment(s), or death certificate(s); and

4.Documents referring to you and your spouse:

Tax returns, bank accounts, leases, mortgages, or birth certificates of children, or

Internal Revenue Service (IRS) - certified copies of the income tax forms that you both filed for the past three years, or

An IRS tax return transcript for the last three years.

plus these

A photocopy of both sides of your Permanent Resident Card (formerly known as the Alien Registration Card or "Green Card"). If you have lost the card, submit a photocopy of the receipt for your Form I-90, "Application to Replace Permanent Resident Card"; and

Two identical color photographs, with your name and "A-number" written lightly in pencil on the back of each photo. For details about the photo requirements, see Part 5 of A Guide to Naturalization and the Form M-603 instructions. Do not wear eyeglasses or earrings for the photo. If your religion requires you to wear a head covering, your facial features must still be exposed in the photo for purposes of identification; and

A check or money order for the application fee and the biometric services fee (Applicants 75 years of age or older are exempted from the biometrics services fee). Write your "A-number" on the back of the check or money order. The application fee is $595 and the biometrics services fee is $80. You may combine the fees into one check or money order. Make your check or money order payable to "U.S. Department of Homeland Security."

You may know what's best for your case, but just thought I'd point it out.

Tax returns, bank accounts, leases, mortgages, or birth certificates of children, or

You may know what's best for your case, but just thought I'd point it out.

Maybe it was a bit much but I narrowed it down a bit. So I am sending the following:

Complete and signed N-400

Front and back of green card

2 passport photos

application fee

US spouse birth certificate

US spouse passport (couldn't hurt to send this also)

marriage certificate w/english translation

3 yrs joint federal tax transcripts

3 yrs joint state tax returns (couldn't hurt to send these as it shows we paid our taxes that were due)

Joint Bank statements showing he is joint on my account and I am joint on his account

2-3 power bills with both our names on them

2-3 home phone bills with both our names on them

New car financing documents (we purchased a new car together since filing I-751)

Copy of car tag registration (has both our names on it)

I also included a copy of my husband's current driver's license(which he renewed last month) and my photo identification which shows that we reside at the same address. I added these extra documents because our home is still in my name only, so I didnt send a mortgage deed. I also copied alot of documents on front and back so that narrowed down the pages a bit, so now I have 59 pages in the package instead of the 100 pages + before. If I am forgetting something please let me know as I am sending this package off hopefully by this Wednesday.

Anyone else out there that has submitted or will submit their N400 to TSC?

Rolltide, I am sorry to call you by your username. I've a question for you.

I just received my receipt notice sent by the TSC and it said my N-400 was transferred ADMINISTRATIVELY to the National Benefit Center for processing and that the transfer would not interfere with the processing of my N-400.

I was wondering if you were sent the same notice?

If NOT, I will assume, it's because my I-751 is still pending.

Let me know. Thanks

Steve

Thanks for your response. Yeah I did check and I was told that all the case that have an INTERVIEW are transferred to the National Benefits Center for administrative processing ONLY. That means, the background and security check will be done by the fox in Missouri.
