My fiance got her visa and now were waiting, for her to sign out from the city and get her passport from them. Is it nessesarry to do that in former soviet contries? and when can i send out invitation to her parents so that they could be present for a wedding here in United States? when can they go to embasy for interview? also What are the chances of Mom, DAD, and her brother allowed to enter United States?

Application procedures vary from consulate to consulate. Follow the procedures for there consulate. Get on the website and read and follow the procedure. A visa applicant must meet the requirements of the visa on there own. An invitation letter from the USC will add very little value if anything to there visa application.

I have read about some soviet countries holding passport in case of debts owed.

Send parents invitation letter any time.

They go to embassy any time and file DS-156 for a tourist visa. Will need to demonstrate strong ties to the home country.

Entry with a visa to the USA is fairly easy, only of POE officer suspects that they may stay and not leave the USA will they deny entry.

OUR TIME LINE Please do a timeline it helps us all, thanks.

Is now a US Citizen immigration completed Jan 12, 2012.

The invitation letter will be good to prove the purpose of the trip, but still your future in laws MUST meet the rest of requirements (strong ties in home country, financial means to afford the trip, etc.)

Google the Embassy's website, you'll find there the procedure to apply for a B-2, how to set the appointment and which documents they need to bring.

My parents have had tourist visas before but my mom's visa has expired, I'm crossing my fingers so she gets a new one! You never know with the CO's! :( I hope your fiance's parents are able to get theirs!

Good luck!
