hi there.. i would like to ask about ds3032.. who will send it to nvc? and when should it be sent? coz i think i should be the one to send that but i havent receive any instructions from nvc.. my husband just sent back the I-864 package... about the ds230,who will send it to nvc? what should i send to my husband?im really lost..

thanks a lot

I don't understand, if your husband already sent them the I-864 package it means that they already received the DS-3032. The DS-3032 is for the NVC to know who to send all correspondence to and if your husband already sent the I-864, it means that they sent him the I-864 coversheet and he's the Choice of Agent.

Something is missing here...

Diana

I'm with you on this one, Diana. I'm lost.... The DS-3032 is the first form that the beneficiary (the one receiving the visa) will receive. In most cases done without a lawyer, the petitioner (the one filing for the beneficiary) is elected the "Choice of Agent." Before any paperwork can be sent, which includes the I-864 and the DS-230, the DS-3032 must be submitted by Email or through the Post Office. A case can't proceed until an agent is elected. Once an agent is selected, they will receive the I-864 and the DS-230. You will have to obtain the signature from your beneficiary on Part 1 of the DS-230 and then once, everything is filled out, you will send that to the NVC. The petitioner is also responsible for the I-864 (Affidavit of Support).

To help us out though, are you the petitioner or the beneficiary?

my husband is the petitioner.. he already sent the i-864 but he said that he didnt send any ds3032 to nvc.. so im just going to send him a signed ds-230 and the required documents? i was thinking of emailing ds3032 to nvc.. will it be a good thing?

They are wrong about the I-864. The I-864 forms always go to and come from the petitioner. After the beneficiary fills out or emails the DS-3032, depending on the choice of agent there, depends on who gets the DS-230 package. You should eventually get a DS-3032 in the mail from NVC, but if he was able to do the I-864 already, that means its was generated so you can email the DS-3032 instead of waiting for one to come in the regular mail. My husband emailed and got a reply back yesterday that they entered it, so email takes about 10 days. After they enter it, you can pay the IV bill and after that goes thru, you can send off your DS-230 package.

I think you misunderstood my post... I said once the 'agent of choice is selected', they will be the one to receive DS-230..... how is that wrong? Usually the agent elected is the petitioner (if there is no lawyer involved)....Regardless of who is the agent, the petitioner always gets the I-864... I was assuming that that in this case the agent of choice was also the petition.. I didn't say the beneficiary was going to receive it... Anyways....

well i said you guys were wrong about the I-864 part. you said

"Before any paperwork can be sent, which includes the I-864 and the DS-230, the DS-3032 must be submitted by Email or through the Post Office. A case can't proceed until an agent is elected. Once an agent is selected, they will receive the I-864 and the DS-230."

the I-864 is gonna get sent even if there is no choice of agent. and you're right, the ds-230 won't get sent, but i-864 will.

oooo okay.... thanks for that... so i should really have to wait for it...

When Nvc accept your DS-3032,and you got auto-response from NVC which is good, next step is wait for them till they accept it,then your husband can call them and speak with live operator to get IIN (Invoice Indetification Number) so you can pay your fees online(for I-864 and DS-230)..you need that number(IIN) to log in to your page to pay for your fees, view them and print barcode sheet which you going to send with documents (it's faster a lot faster instead sending money orders by snail mail) I did it that way everthing went well. And when you get IIN you will be able to see when is I-864 and DS-230 generated online so you can pay for it (first you will be able to pay for I-864 then after that you will be able to pay for DS-230),....Just follow rules and ask everthing here people here are ready to help you,..and of course if you have any question about your case CALL the NVC and talk with live operator and ask them for your case they will explain to you what you need to do,...GOOD LUCK TO YOUR CASE,....!!!!!

Good Afternoon,

Your inquiry has been received at the National Visa Center (NVC).

The NVC has received the Agent of Choice selection. The Immigrant Visa

Application (DS 230) processing fee bill will be sent to the designated

agent on the case. The fee must be paid according to the instructions

before the instruction packet will be sent.

Regards,

National Visa Center

from the day u received that msg, how long did it take for u to get the IV fee bill? im still waiting for another response from NVC regarding my DS3032..

i still haven't gotten the actual bill. i just paid it online

did you get any response? what happened? do u think it will work? coz if it is, ill tell my hubby to pay it online once i get that response from them

after nvc says they accept your ds-3032, your husband can call the NVC automated message and find out when they generate the bill. when it says they have, he can pay online.

oooo okay.... thanks for that... so i should really have to wait for it...

And when you get IIN you will be able to see when is I-864 and DS-230 generated online so you can pay for it (first you will be able to pay for I-864 then after that you will be able to pay for DS-230),....Just follow rules and ask everthing here people here are ready to help you,..and of course if you have any question about your case CALL the NVC and talk with live operator and ask them for your case they will explain to you what you need to do,...GOOD LUCK TO YOUR CASE,....!!!!!

thank you very much.. he already sent the I-864 i think 2 weeks ago but when i called NVC IVR only says they received the AOS fee bill on July 1st.. and i also sent my ds3032 3 days ago..
