The embassy has scheduled as they say a more in depth interview and for my husband to bring all proof of our relationship along with him. They didn't request updated police reports, medicals or tax info, What's up with that?

First of all, congratulations on the interview! I know it has been long wait for you, but now it looks like the end might be near. It appears that they might want to question him more and examine your relationship in depth. About the police records, tax forms, etc. I would still have him bring a current copy of those things just to be on the safe side. :star: Good luck!

Congratulations on your 2. interview. To be finally out of AP is a good feeling.

If the medical is older than one year old you must have a new one.

Bring updated financial papers.

Email them if you need another police report, they are usually good for 6 months but they don't issue them in Sierra

Leone so we didn't need one going through Dakar.

Will you be there also ?

Best wishes !

Thanks everybody, I am thinking I need to attend the interview. I would also like to have a wavier and hardship letter already prepared just in case.

You can not have a waiver already prepared if you do not know on what grounds they would deny you.

A waiver and hardship letter is a big undertaking and very difficult and you will need a lwayer, at least consult one.

HSL are usualy 10-20 pages of why you are in extreme hardship if he can not come here, and about 50 documents of support to back it up. It takes an average of 2-5 months to prepare such a HSL.

The waiver fee is $ 545. The attorney very expensive average $ 4000 - $ 8000.

Unless you have reason to believe that he will be denied for a specific situation you have no basis to do the waiver in advance.

If you need more help with that let me know.

Think positiv !

Deecee, if they deny you , request to see the chief CO J. Loveland. I did that, even though he did not overturn our denial, it may work for you.

Just request to go to the USC side of the embassy and ask for him there if they won't let you in, request to see him as a USC , you may have to make an appointment with him the next day.
