Hey Everyone! :star:

Me and my wife did a I-90 on May 30, 2008 because the USCIS misspelled her name on the green card. USCIS got the I-90 with green card on May 31, 2008.

I called USCIS's call center several times giving us different answers (as usual) lol 2 of the operators said my wife would get the green card in 2 weeks and 3 operators said 6 months.

This is very sad for all of us that have to go through this mess.

My wife applied to get a California ID from the DMV and waited for the usual 2 weeks for the id in the mail. Then, we called the DMV after 2 weeks and they said we have to wait another 90 days because of the name misspelled from USCIS.

We were lucky to get an SSN because the lady said we had a 50/50 chance that her real name would take in the system because the lady said her name is still misspelled and not fixed yet at USCIS or Homeland Security!

Should I contact a senator regarding the I-90 issue???

Thanks for the help and thank you!

I wanted to tell you all what's going on and just venting!

We filed the I-90 for a different reason. My husband was entitled to the 10 year green card but got the 2 year conditional instead. It only took them 2 months to correct it and the website that shows the priority date was 4 months out. This was the CSC. It wouldn't hurt to get a representative involved, but really I think you are stressing to soon.

My husband's name was spelled wrong too. He sent the card back June 2007 along with an I-90. It has been over one year and still no corrected greencard. We made an info pass appointment and they stamped an I-551 stamp in his passport. The first time they gave him a stamp that expired after 6 months while we waited for the greencard. When he still didnt get his greencard by dec, 2007 so we made another info pass appointment and they stamped it again with expiration date of one year. I know that USCIS received the I-90 because we had delivery confirmation with USPS. I now have my congressman involved and and they are trying to find out what the deal is. IF I were you, I would make an info pass apointment. Bring all your proof that it was an USCIS error and request an I-551 stamp. You can work with it and even travel out of the country.

Good luck,
