wow heart seaching posts here for sure=

Cheers all and have not been here for awhile and then when I revisited I could only be gutted to see that nothing has changed with USCIS.

Even tho my hubbie and I are still waiting for that elusvie interview and have said good riddance to USCIS - i wanted to share something that was my sanity holder through out our process.

A friend after he had his approvals both thru USCIS and NVC and then again interview told me this.......when you get one, its like heaven, and you forget that part and you prepare for the next. He was right. But what I will not forget is the people that have the same timeframe as me still waiting to get out of USCIS -

When the time finally comes to be reunited with your loved one, always always remember, why you did this whole insane process and what feelings came out that you did not existed. I have thrown the computer, the fax, the phone across the office because of frustration, I took my story to the radio stations and beyond. People listened that were not in our shoes, and they were gobsmacked - they could not understand what the problem was.

The only thing that made me feel better was to hound my elected officals, and blogs and omsbdmn, some repsonded some did not, but damn I felt better after every email, letter etc.

Dont give up, fight when you are depressed for your rights! I emailed the ACLU once saying....i want to sue the govenrment...they said why.....i said because they took away my right of my pursuit of life liberty and happiness...they laughed and said...lady...that happened a lont time ago.....you just didnt realize it because you did not walk in someones shoes until now.

Hugs and prayers and godspeed to all waiting.

:)(F) Thanks...

I do salute you for being so calm and cool... :star:

I promise to love you in good times and in bad, with all I have to give and all that I am, in the only way I know how -- completely and forever......

I tried to stay away from this specific topic because I don't blame US government for our separation, actually the visa process has been a piece of cake till now compared to every other obstacle me and my husband had to conquer, especially him.

It will be 4 consecutive years this September that we won't be together on our wedding anniversary and you know what, it's OK! I am looking forward to be him this November or December, actually not even concern about the outcome of the visa process, just I know doesn't matter what happens, I will have some quality time to spend with him this year at least.

I used to think I am the only bad luck one who has been away from her husband for this long and all those sentimental things, but then I read the story of a Visa journey member from MENA and she hasn't been with her husband for 3 years plus they have got a child together, my heart went out for her, raising a child alone and the husband missing every single thing of his child's life, at least I am in not that position and I am certain whenever we will have our kids, my husband will be there with me.

So whenever you think you are alone in this ordeal, look around, you are not, you actually might be lucky in a lot of ways, yes might also be unlucky in a lot of other ways but you always have something to hold on to, something to fight for and not give up.

I really understand how you all feel and I definitely sympathize. Right now, even though I am currently with my SO, possibly we will only be together until December. I tell myself that at least we will have had a year together and we will have the rest of our lives together-excluding that stolen by USCIS. I'm so surprised that this whole immigration process isn't better- its not like immigration is new to this country and considering all the technology available. Some people may say all this paperwork takes time to process, but I think just as how they can put all that effort into making sure work visas are processed speedily, they should try to do the same for families. I feel so sad sometimes when I look at people's timelines and see how long they have been waiting and how long it has been since they last saw their spouse/fiance. I've decided to just take it day by day for the sake of my sanity. And, I'm really glad for a place like this where we can all find support and good advice (which is immensely better than what USCIS offers on their website/customer service- which, btw, is little to none)...ok, I'm out of breath, sorry for the rant

Hi everybody just like you guys I've felt the same agony since the day we were apart. During VISA process I didn't think of anything but him, how I miss him and how hard it is not to see him when I wake up in the morning. Not to mention all the stress you I had bear during this process. Glad it's over and already got my visa, but I thought it's over. While waiting and counting the days to see my husband I started to realize the family I am I am going to leave. I will gonna miss them so much especially my mom who have been with me all the time, who prepares breakfast for me every time I go to work, who shares bed with me, who always reminds me about everything, who tells stories and laugh with me. I don't know how I'll cope with that, but right now I am treasuring all the remaining moments I could share with them.

It's hard, but I have to move forward to build my own family and apply all the good experiences I learned from them.
