Waiting Part... Visa Process

Ok, here come my sentimental but true thoughts....

I really don't think many couples' relationship can survive this kind of separation - it simply isn't natural to love someone so deeply and not be able to express it fully. Something has to give. There may seem like a lot of us in here but we are the minority and we may think we have it hard right now - and in reality we really do, this #### is painful!

BUT...

Our marriages and relationships have something others in "normal" or "regular" relationships will never have. It takes a special kind of extra "something" to make it through this process, as we all rely on extremely innovative communication through a phone line and infrequent visits. I doubt anyone who has gone through this madness will ever take their spouse for granted once they are together, simply because of what we have to go through to be together.

Honestly, as much as I want to rebel against this prccess, it has also become a testimony of my love, trust, level of committment and PATIENCE!

I must agree with you on this. This process sucks but like you said we won't ever take our loved ones for granted as the rest the world does.

I married my love on 12/24/07

I filed for the I 130 on 1/23/08

Receipt number recevied 2/13/08

Paperwork sent to Guangzhou on 1/23/09

I second your statement.. not sure if that helps any but ...... anyway, I hope things change for the better? What is really difficult is when people who filed in the same month as you did getting their NAO2 when you haven't even gotten a touch.... I just have to sit and wait

Rajaa

I do hope so.. Just want that everybody in here should be given a chance to be with their loveones as soon as possible. I know that asking for speedy process is like a pipe dream but who knows (it might be possible)?.. I agree that it is difficult to see that people with the same timeline as yours got approval but you are left not knowing when they would approve your case. It was like walking in a very dark tunnel and not knowing when it wil end or if you would see the light afterwards. It is really crazy..

My husbie would come home this October but should I be happy with that? The goodbye part after a month of being together 24/7 is so hard as it would break our hearts into pieces again. It is killing me to see him tired but needs to maximize his strenght just for us to be able to talk. I want to close my eyes and wake up the next morning with him beside me.. As of the moment.... It is not possible.. Need to wait.. And we are waiting....

:cry: Tell me about it - seeing Govi walk away at the airport after being together 24/7 for 6 weeks is one of the hardest things I have ever had to deal with - I told him next time he is coming back with me, or at the very least he will have his air ticket and visa in hand so the time apart will have a definite end. I can't do it anymore....

Now that my husband has a job and it only pays once a month and he still hasn't gotten paid yet he had to move without his computer and there is a time delay of 9 hours so when I am off of work he is and vice versa so we used to talk everyday via computer/cam for hours now we are down to only 5 hours Fri/sat/sun.... I know he is living it very hard right now and he misses me as much as I miss him. But Ya Rab I feel like I am losing connection to him. We love eachother soooo much we just have to think of our lives as on "hold" until things change Insha'allah.

Sorry don't mean to bring you down... oh and I had a shirt of his with his cologne on it when I slept... I accidently washed it last night :crying:

We reached our first anniversary last month. It is horrible starting your second year of marriage still apart. :(

All of us went through the waiting stage with all those frustrations and all. We can do anything to make it faster though. So I must say patience is a virtue. Its all worth the wait! Just enjoy what you have now, your family and philippines. I'll tell you when you arrived here (I mean U.S) you definitely miss all the things you used to. So enjoy all things there. Goodluck! You can hear a good news soon darling..

Try to visit him there if you can - there is no way we could have spent our first anniversary apart, even if I had to return here to continue the wait.

WOW and I thought we moved fast... We met briefly in June 2006(and talked on the phone a few times but unfortunately for our visajourney don't have records) but didn't really hit it off (AND HOW) until we met again on May 20, 2007, formally engaged June 14, 2007, temple wedding June 21, court marriage papers signed June 27.

We spent both our first and second year Anniversary apart, and it was very, very hard!! :crying: Nothing about this process is easy, but we all made the choice. :( I haven't seen my husband in 1 year and 6 months :crying: :crying: There been lay offs from work, war and clashes in my hubby's country (had to cancelled Trips twice) that didn't allow me to go see him... You see, so it hasn't been easy but we continue because the love is greater then anything!! But soon INSHALLAH we will be together!!! Have Fate and Patience, your love will withhold any Obstacles that life brings your way.....

Wow I just looked at your timeline and I think you have gone through more than most of us - WHY did it take so long for you to receive NOA2???? It must have felt impossible for you sometimes and I think especially with the violence going on you worried about your hubby's safety - whenever I hear about demonstrations and political problems in Nepal I always worry until I hear from G again. After seeing your timeline I don;t think I have so much right to b!tch about VSC....

It took long because of delays of USCIS and Secruity name checks etc... Post 9/11 this process is not easy for some people. I even tried to do Expedite for various reasons (including Humanitarian - because of volience), I wrote about 20 letters everywhere about how worried I was with my husband's saftey, I provided so much Evidence and nothing worked  .. We prayed and are still praying this process will continue smooth. But then NVC lost our file for a month... can you believe

But now THANK GOD we are at waiting for the Interview stage and preparing for that... We pray to GOD that it will go smooth and that WE soon can be together to start our life and our family!! INSHALLAH

It's always good to vent, and this is why this fourm is great at times.. So your venting is welcome
