Well at first they are just letting the papers in the boxes for ages. Then in their own sweet time they will conduct some background/security checks and all. Goodluck!

After cashing the check, they'll evaluate the accuracy and completeness of the forms, determine if the petitioner is eligible to file and the requirements are met, then yes, they'll do background checks on both parties.
