If I could get a little help from all the people that have gone through this it would be great. I am under the impression that everything that was sent to NVC does not need to be taken to the embassy unless an original was not submitted or there was a tax extension for 2007 taxes at the time of the I-864(doesnt apply to us because my taxes were done by Jan 31st ). The interview letter that I got from the NVC said that all the documents were reviewed and found to be complete for all forms that needed to be submitted and originals were received for all Birth/Marriage/Police certificates. We did send in a certified copy of her birth certificate but I guess they consider that an original. So my question is ........ will the following be all that she is required to take and how does our proof of a bon-a-fide marriage look.

Documents required to take to the interview-

Medical Exam

Interview letter

(please tell me if I am missing something, I thought I saw somewhere that they will want a passport picture of me)

Documents taken in case they are missing something

Form DS-230 Part I & II Completed

I-864EZ with 3 years tax transcripts and 2007 W2 and letter of employment

2 Passport style pictures of my wife in case they didnt like the ones sent to NVC

Certified copy of our Marriage Certificate

Certified Copy of her police reports

Certified Copy of her Birth Certificate

I-130 & G-325 A (never know, they might miss something)

Misc items they might request

Her college diploma

Her Work "wallet" (a detailed document about her job history)

Copy of my passport Bio Page

My original birth Certificate

Evidence of marriage

Wedding Photos

Photos from our honeymoon

Photos from my December trip (even one where we sit on Papai Noel )

Photos from my June Trip

Ticket stubs from my plane tickets

Copy of stamps from passport visa pages of my entries and exits to Belem Brazil

Phone bills starting from March of last year to June of this year

50 pages of chat logs Starting from April 27th of 2008, they can see that it is page 1, 10, 25, 53 of 267(archive one), 24 of 68 (most current one) etc etc ending on July 11th 2008

4 affidavits from my family and friends 1) Mother 2) Sister 3) Sisters husband 4) Friend

And as strange as this sounds....If they keep track of Tourist visa info, on her July 2007 denied application she had put on their she wanted come to vist me (her fiance) and visit/meet my family. I consider that evidence too.

Thanks for all your help everyone!

Well I am glad to know that we are no longer giving advice or helpful comments anymore, only links to other web pages that have been read before. Sorry to bother the people of this forum for an actual response.

First of all, good luck to your wife's upcoming interview...

Second of all, you have listed virtually all the docs needed. And instead of scattering the docs needed here and there, that guide lists almost all docs needed.

Looks very bona-fide to me. Except for the volume of chat logs, it would be best to have all of that with you even if it's not needed. But if the chat logs are already printed out, carry them too. One never knows what stray question will arise...that's from the experience of a great many people here.

Thank you for the luck, sorry for getting a bit of an attitude but it has been so hard to get any type human response on this forum anymore. There is no giving of encouraging words, or other things that might have been left out, or sharing of what other people took etc. I know that all consulates are different and some ask for more than others. while your guide is very good in that it provides the basics of what all embassy websites say it lacks the rare and sometimes random information that other consulates ask for. Such as the consulate in Canada does ask for work or college history sometimes, and some consulates ask for family history of both the petitioner and the applicant. I am pretty sure that I have the basics down but its the unexpected that I am trying to expect. This whole thing is just frustrating because I am worried about leaving out 1 document that could cause a delay in things. And while everyone says you shouldnt book flights in advance I either think those people are rich (because next day or next week flights can be 4000-5000 dollars in Brazil, I looked a month out to see if i could be there with my wife and the flights were 2,500 then jumped to 3,500+ with nothing in the middle ) or arent in rush to be with their loved ones. If i have to pay a rebooking fee then so be it but if we take everything we need the first time around then most likely everything will be said and done quickly because Brazil really doesnt have an AP problem like other consulates have, for the most part the only reason that I have seen for being delayed is lack of the appropiate documents or they suspect the marriage is not real. Again sorry for getting a bit rude but maybe I am freaking out for nothing.

Couldnt do it :crying: , to fed-ex the almost 400 pages of chat logs (2 reams of paper) would have been about 350 dollars. To send an envelope alone was $130.00, it would have had to turn nto a fed-ex box. Our Interview was set for 1 month after our NVC approval, with the money I have to send her to get her medical, HPV vaccine, Visa express mailing, hotel, and food money while she is there I have had to send a lot of money there this month ( my cellphone was shut off because I cant pay it until August 15th because i needed to send so much :crying: ) I just couldnt afford to do it and she hasnt been keeping our chats. Thank you though for the response. I wanted to send them all.

We interviewed in Peru at the beginning of July. We needed the interview letter, the applicant´s passport, 2 US-size passport pictures (5cm x 5cm), and the medical exam, and money to pay for the delivery of the visa (after the visa was approved). In addition, we brought 5 albums with pictures and documents, but they didn´t even ask to look at any of them.

Best of luck and just relax as much as possible and everything will be fine!

Hey 000 GOOD LUCK on your coming Interview  I am cheering for you...

I think the more items you take the better!!! I have already put everything together for my hubby, including copies of everything sent to USCIS and NVC.... and everything you listed as well!!

4 affidavits that sounds good, I didn't even think of that.... But I am not sure I would need that... hummm

GOOD LUCK AGAIN... You must be excited as well

I think you have everything together already, just relax... or at least try to...:thumbs::thumbs: u don't need the 400 pages... they want to know if the relationship is REAL, they don't want to know if you guys have problems or are the happiest couple! (i think) you have to transmit positiveness and confidence to your wife, so don't freak out, i know is scary, i don't even have a date of interview yet and i already have everything ready

You might want to read some reviews about the embassy, so you know what can they ask her!!!
