If I could get a little help from all the people that have gone through this it would be great. I am under the impression that everything that was sent to NVC does not need to be taken to the embassy unless an original was not submitted or there was a tax extension for 2007 taxes at the time of the I-864(doesnt apply to us because my taxes were done by Jan 31st  ). The interview letter that I got from the NVC said that all the documents were reviewed and found to be complete for all forms that needed to be submitted and originals were received for all Birth/Marriage/Police certificates. We did send in a certified copy of her birth certificate but I guess they consider that an original. So my question is ........ will the following be all that she is required to take and how does our proof of a bon-a-fide marriage look.

Documents required to take to the interview-

Medical Exam

Interview letter

(please tell me if I am missing something, I thought I saw somewhere that they will want a passport picture of me)

Documents taken in case they are missing something

Form DS-230 Part I & II Completed

I-864EZ with 3 years tax transcripts and 2007 W2 and letter of employment

2 Passport style pictures of my wife in case they didnt like the ones sent to NVC

Certified copy of our Marriage Certificate

Certified Copy of her police reports

Certified Copy of her Birth Certificate

I-130 & G-325 A (never know, they might miss something)

Misc items they might request

Her college diploma

Her Work "wallet" (a detailed document about her job history)

Copy of my passport Bio Page

My original birth Certificate

Evidence of marriage

Wedding Photos

Photos from our honeymoon

Photos from my December trip (even one where we sit on Papai Noel  )

Photos from my June Trip

Ticket stubs from my plane tickets

Copy of stamps from passport visa pages of my entries and exits to Belem Brazil

Phone bills starting from March of last year to June of this year

50 pages of chat logs Starting from April 27th of 2008, they can see that it is page 1, 10, 25, 53 of 267(archive one), 24 of 68 (most current one) etc etc ending on July 11th 2008

4 affidavits from my family and friends 1) Mother 2) Sister 3) Sisters husband 4) Friend

And as strange as this sounds....If they keep track of Tourist visa info, on her July 2007 denied application she had put on their she wanted come to vist me (her fiance) and visit/meet my family. I consider that evidence too.

Thanks for all your help everyone!

Thanks everyone, I really needed the feedback, and no I dont mean that annoying new Janet Jackson song, ,I mean your comments

Yes, you sound ready to me too! As you said, I cannot wait until this is over. I think I am going crazy. I feel good and optimistic but also extremely nervous, even though I think we are prepared. There are just so many variables. Hopefully the interview part will be as "*easy* as most people say it is. We are in São Paulo now and catching a bus to Rio tonight... well, anyway, good luck to you! I am sure you two will be A-OK. I tried to send a comment back but couldn't figure out how.. anyway, cross your fingers for us and I will do the same for you!

2 days left for you and 3 for me, I am sure everything will be fine. I only wish time would go by faster so all the anxiety is gone, I want to sleep and wake up to a phone call from my wife saying "I WAS APPROVED!!!!!, I will be with you in 2 weeks!!!!!!!!!". But I have to wait 3 more days to hear that , better than waiting 3 more months though

I know what you mean! But all the weeks and months of waiting have come down to the last few days, so it is not really that bad. Except that I am a ball of anxiety and stress. I keep being afraid that we have forgotten something or that they are going to ask for a document that we didn't bring or something like that. *sigh* We are leaving for Rio in the morning... lots of luck, though I doubt you will need it! Everything will be A-OK.

Yeah I hate the anxiety part too, be sure to let us know how everything went , everything will be fine though. I think you and I are both well prepared because of everything we have learned here. They should have all they need because we sent everything to the NVC so the only thing we have left to take them is the medical and appointment letter. Have a safe trip and look forward to hearing about your interview, enjoy Rio although I here it is cold.

I hope we hear something from saradanielle soon , the interview was today for them and Im sure all is well but I want to hear about it :star: My wifes is tomorrow

We got the visa! The interview was easy-peasy - she asked us a bunch of basic questions and didn't ask to see any evidence... we were out of the Consulate at 10 AM. More details to come in about 10 minutes - I will write a full report. But don't worry, your wife will be absolutely fine! (I will post the report on the Foreign Embassy Forum... so take a look in a few minutes or so)

Oh wow, she is done already! Fantastic! Congratulations!! Now we can all get a good night's sleep... I was so anxious the day before we left for Rio that I gave myself a stomachache! Anyway, it is all over now, just making travel plans! I put a full report on the Foreign Embassy forum if you are interested. Congrats again and lots of luck to both of you! :star:
