Hi All,

Just had a question about different last names-if you have a different last name in your passport than on Employment Authorization Card, would that create problems while travelling? Does anybody have that?

Many thanks

Cody and Ilze

You dont use EAD to travel.

If traveling domestically, use the EAD or Green-card as ID.

If traveling internationally, you need your passport, and AP if you don't have green-card yet, book airfare using passport name. Green-card or AP doc will be needed to re-enter the USA.

OUR TIME LINE Please do a timeline it helps us all, thanks.

Is now a US Citizen immigration completed Jan 12, 2012.

Thanks for your response :)

So if the passport has the maiden name and the AP or green card has the married name, there will not be a problem re-entering the US?

No, it is done all the time... carry a copy of the document that changed your name (marriage certificate?). My wife entered with this situation just last week without issue.

YMMV
