I also believe in it and it always amazes how powerful it is. I just don't like it when people go on and on about it, and God and the Bible and all that. I think it's a very private thing and don't need to hear a hallelujah after every single sentence.

If something amazes you so much and you see how powerful it is... then thats usually the thing you get excited about and want to talk about... GOD is the One we pray too & its only natural that one who is excited about Him & prayer would talk constantly about HIM!

I just want to know if my fellow VISA JOURNEY members believes in the power of PRAYER...

Even we are in a different religion, PRAYER is a big help for us to get what we really desires.. It's a very short way to talk to our GOD, right?

And also, Do you appreciate all the things that happened in your life? Whether it is small or big... Have you thank GOD for that?

Nothing is wrong with prayers.. it's just really helps..... a LOT!

When Sujeet had his interview in India in 2004, friends and family actually came to my parents house and we prayed for Sujeet's successful K1 interview the night he was going(night here, morning in India). It was really nice to have so much support from people and we knew Sujeet would be going with prayer behind him for a smooth interview. It did turn out very well!

Wow! Answered prayer.... Before our wedding, the whole church made a prayer for us.. they surrounded us and did prayed for me and for my husband to have a good and loving marriage life.. Thank GOD the wedding was great and we received many blessings that we didn't expect.. Now that we have our visa journey, i pray that GOD will provide all our needs and everything to work smoothly.

I think prayer can be effective as a way to summon inner strength, like a form of meditation. However, I do not believe in prayer as a way of asking for divine intervention.

I just have a question though about karma, is anyone telling the good to come back on those who did good(same about the bad) or is it thought to be some natural phenomenon? I mean either it's a different kind of spiritual belief that something or someone is directing your karma to give back or it's natural..but it seems it wouldn't just be natural if it existed, it'd also be spiritual. So prayer is one kind of spiritual belief, and karma is another. It can't be just a natural thing IMO. Of course I don't believe in Karma but I do believe that people reap what they sow. But I also believe there is forgiveness so if someone was bad they can be forgiven if they change their ways and won't only reap bad things. I just ask because sometimes people who aren't sure if they believe in God or believe in some sort of higher power but aren't sure what they are, talk about karma as if it's a more believable explanation for things that happen. To me you have to have faith to believe in karma the same way people have faith to believe in prayer. One isn't more believable than the other in the natural sense.
